CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Hey JC fam, where are you guys looking to buy WS tickets for this weekend? So far I'm seeing that Ticketmaster has the best "bang for buck" value?
Trainspotting Verified Member Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 The prices are way too high for me. I looked at Ticketmaster, SeatGeek and Stubhub. Ticketmaster had the highest prices, with the other two being lower but still expensive. Good luck in finding a ticket. It is not going to cost much for me to sit on my couch.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 wait until game day, prices might collapse a bit jaysblue, CJ-Freeway and Stangstag 3
Governator Community Moderator Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Best option is to wait like 30min before game time from past postseasons I've been to. I had sold Bautista's batflip game tickets 30min before at face value. What are the actual face value of the tickets? When I got through the queue it was like $1800-$8000 lol CJ-Freeway 1

Did you hear David Samson on Blair & Barker yesterday? They asked him what winning a World Series means to a franchise and the first think he leaned into the was the financial benefit. He starts off by explaining that it allows the franchise to jack up the price of everything (literally everything) immediately and for years to follow. Straight to ROI's. While I completely appreciate this is a business and most business owners believe they only exist to make profit for shareholders, I couldn't help but feel a bit disheartened that the first thing a former MLB executive thinks of is gauging the f*ck out of the fans. I also appreciate the more they gauge fans, the more money they'll potentially have available to spend on the team and the salary allocation in future years, but f*ck me, it still sounded so slimy. Make a completely irrational financial decision and go to the game. LOL - you got that right and now it's probably going to get worse. The Blue Jays success will have a MASSIVE effect on youth baseball across the country. Travel teams and "training facilities" are going to be licking their chops and raking in the money over the next few years. I'm actually supposed to go help a buddy close his cottage up WAY up north in the middle of buttf*ck nowhere. He's prepared with cell booster and 32" TV so we can watch the games this weekend. It's an annual tradition with some of my best friends I never see because of my kids sports. I did take the family to playoff games back in 2022 and 2023, so I'm not some deadbeat Dad, but the Jays lost both games so it wasn't the experience anyone wanted. If the Jays return home for Game 6 - I think that's when the irrational decision will be made. It's the GOD DAMN principle of it all Term. What kinda c*nt gets access to tickets to the first World Series games in 32 years and says "nah - I'd rather pocket a bunch of cash than actually go. Let's rip people off today". There's no doubt that Ticketmaster is in on it too - f*ck that corporation sans lube. Spanky__99, Terminator and Stangstag 2 1
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 At least we are in the golden age of digital fandom You can pirate a stream in HD, have free access to Gameday and Statcast and live data to enrich your experience, and interact online for free all while drinking at home at Beer Store prices And the funny thing about being a "real fan" is that most of us still probably spend less on the product per year than the business dudes who know almost nothing about baseball but take some clients to the games a couple of times a year Nexii, Spanky__99 and Stangstag 3

Like I thought the average poster on this board was basically David Portnoy. Maybe I misunderstood. I remember there was like a investment thread or something on the old board and one time I was proud of my 5 figure NVIDIA trade and I considered bragging about it (humble brag and subtle) but it just seemed embarrassingly miniscule compared to the money the bros on the investment thread were making. Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 It sucks that the average fan has been priced out of these tickets. Is it possible for people to splurge a little bit yes but when you can get a 65 inch 4K TV for $500 bucks I debate if it’s worth it. This run is outstanding for payroll implications. Rogers has seen more than enough people will spend under these circumstances. And that’s good enough for them. I would love to go to these games. I have debated coming home and doing it the entire run. But I’m comfortable watching them on TV. Crazy that I could fly home. Rent a car for less than what I can purchase the tickets for lol. G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Yeah, prices are nuts. I *was* thinking about going to a game in LA. Always wanted to go to a game there anyway. And now my team is there for the World Series. And flights from Calgary are reasonable. But the ticket prices for even terrible seats are nuts, and I blew a pretty good load of money and personal cred with my wife by taking her to Toronto to watch them lose twice last week. Probably have to pass... :( CJ-Freeway and Stangstag 2
GoBlue41 Verified Member Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 The crazy part about the tickets that I bought off of Stubhub during the last game is that I don't actually even know if I'm gonna be poor yet or not! I bought games 6 and 7. If they aren't played, I get a refund and am sad. If they are played, I'm happy and poor. Crazy stuff. Right now, prices are insane. The cheapest non GA seat right now on Stubhub is like $2200 after fees which is ridiculous. Yikes! I have a few friends trying to get some but are waiting for them to go down a little. Because I'm a hopeful dork, I bought a hotel room for the World Series back toward the end of July. Felt kinda dumb at the time. Really is crazy that I might have a chance to use that reservation!! Now plane tickets are a whole different story. That one is gonna be costly. :( Stangstag 1

Blue balls Verified Member Posted October 23, 2025 Posted October 23, 2025 I was about 3500th in the online queue to buy tickets for game 7. I had hopes I could get tickets in the 500s but as soon as I got access everytime I would try to select a pair under 1000$ they were gone. At some point I had a pair in the 200’s for 1400$ that I released to try and get cheaper tickets. Big mistake as I wasn’t able to get anything in the 500’s after and when I decided to go ahead and buy the 1400$ tickets, they were gone and there was only resale tickets available. my bad for cheaping out I guess but it’s impressive that the 7 days all inclusive trip to Mexico I’ll be going to with my girlfriend this winter is basically the same price I would have paid for one game with the hotel, beer, food and gas ! It's crazy when you get access - I have a similar story. Tickets are getting snatched up left and right so you've got to be quick. I was also shocked by the face value pricing so I thought I was going to get infield level going into it but they were more than I was expecting so I panicked trying to look at the various options. I ended up getting a couple for Game 2 in the outfield in the 100 level for about 1000 CAD each after fees and taxes. Stangstag, Spanky__99 and Blue balls 3
