  1. Teams make decisions based on projected performance, not on previous results. You may not like that, or understand it, but that's what they all do.
  2. Vlad has lower back tightness. Not playing because he's injured.
  3. I would assume there's a chance that his thumb is still tender after catching a full game. I guess it's easy to just assume everyone in the organization is a moron though. No ideal though - we need the offense.
  4. I think it will be a miracle if he throws more than 25 innings at the ML level in his career. He's a bust.
  5. He's the new Paul Skenes! What an incredible talent.
  6. Why do people do this? Why blame 1 person? Why not blame the lineup for not scoring more - they missed several opportunities to tack on more runs.
  7. Juan Sanchez over his past 19 games - .346/.400/.577, 161 wRC+
  8. He got his 3,500 K - time to take him out back and then move on.
  9. How sad must Padres fans be? Tatis - 101 wRC+, 2 HRs Machado - 68 wRC+ Merrill - 74 wRC+ Bogaerts - 90 wRC+ and their top SPer is Walker Buehler 😬 How the f*ck is this team over .500?

  11. I was down to Labatt Stadium in London yesterday. Very cool old ball park. It's the oldest, active baseball stadium in the world. Pretty cool to watch my son pitch from the mound that Satchel Paige once did. They claim Ty Cobb played there back in the day too.
  12. Oh I didn't know that - thanks for pointing it out.
  13. I guess that could explain "some" of the velo drop. I'd have thought they'd build him up in bullpens and that he wouldn't face batters until he was pretty darn close to ready. But then again, we sent Berrios to the mound when he was throwing 90 MPH poo, so maybe there are other factors, or maybe they are stupid.
  14. Yimi García (elbow) allowed one run on one hit while walking two on Wednesday for Triple-A Buffalo. García threw just eight of his 21 pitches for strikes, but he did earn one strikeout. The 35-year-old is continuing to work his way back from elbow surgery and will likely need another couple of appearances at Triple-A before he is ready to return. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the broadcast, they reported Garcia was throwing like 93 MPH. Yimi might be dead 🥹
