The next two hitters reached base dude. That's how they scored 3 runs. I'm simply going by what really happened in the game here and not extrapolating what would have happened. The game is a 1-0 win if we don't walk him and everything else happens in the same way. I'm not going to live in some fantasy world where we try to predict what would have been different because that is a pointless exercise.

We saw Ohtani's next at-bat against Gausman and he made an out. That's better evidence than any reality that you have concocted. It really happened.

The game already happened and that decision was the difference between winning and losing. Sure, the game could have gone differently from that point on, but we don't know in what way. We can only judge the plays that happened in front of us and in that reality, it cost us the win. If the only way you can refute my argument is my creating alternative realities for yourself to live in then that's pretty sad.

I couldn't disagree more. Intentional walks are almost always a bad decision. The statistics bear that out. JS had no way of knowing that Dominguez would throw a BP fastball down the middle. You keep the ball low and Ohtani gets out every time. It's been true this whole series.

Three runs on the board due to that decision. Ohtani never came close to touching Gausman.

I don't have a problem with being aggressive in game 3. I didn't even criticize him at the time. You can't even begin to compare those two scenarios in my opinion.

I didn't criticize JS for putting in Little in Seattle or pulling the guys in game I've defended him all season and I still will going forward. Walking Ohtani in The 4th is perhaps the worst decision in the history of the World Series and that's not hyperbole. Gausman was absolutely f***ing cruising and had made him look like a fool in the first at-bat. It turned out to be the difference in the game. I can't even begin to fathom how outrageously stupid that decision was. When is he going to trust his f***ing pitchers? Gausman has been great for us for four f***ing years and they still don't trust him. I'll never get over how incredibly f***ing stupid that was, never. Say what you want about Cito Gaston, but this team has 5 wins right now if he's the manager in the World Series.

You can't possibly that dense. He's certainly not the best hitter, Gausman was owning him, he was hitting like s***, and the situation didn't call for it. It will certainly go down as one of the biggest blunders in the history of the World Series if we lose. People will be talking about Schneider's f*** up for decades.

The intentional walk is entirely responsible for the result. Just an unforgivable gaffe by Schneider. I've never seen anything like that in my life.

You take your chances against a guy who has looked like s*** lately and hasn't hit Gausman. Jzs crumbled under pressure. It was a truly outrageous decision with no defense. At least throw some low splits and let him get himself out, which he is prone to doing.

I still can't believe JS walked Ohtani with Gaus pitching so well and Ohtani hitting so poorly. I was yelling at my TV in front of all my guests. That's inexplicable completely idiotic decision cost us 3 runs.
