  1. Pretty much all you're writing is obvious and I agree with it. I expect Giménez to be at 85-90 wRC+ and Clement at 110-115 wRC+.
  2. Could be worse... NY cousins Yankee and Met opened their packages and there was nothing but a piece of s*** in them.
  3. They will get an infielder. It will be a depth player ala IKF. Reason for wanting an outfielder is very easy to understand in my opinion. There is possibility of losing Varsho after next season. Santander might be bad again this year. Barger could have regression from last year. There is no great options on the OF FA market next winter. They have depth this year with Straw, Lukes, Loperfido and Schneider but I don't see how you wouldn't prefer securing a good OF for the 2027 season and beyond and then trade one of these depth players. On the other hand, I do agree the INF position is not perfect but the only way it could get improved without costing at bats from good players would be by trading Gimenez and getting a star SS that will play a great D and be solid at bat. Easier said then done.
  4. As much as I'm disappointed we didn't get Tucker or Bichette, I'm very happy with the FO this winter. Unlike 2024 and 2025, they didn't wait for the top FA to sign before making a move. They got a top pitcher right off the bat and then got solid RP and SP depth with potential for more. They also got what looks like a solid bat in Okamoto. This actual lineup is still very good. I'm still hoping they can sign Bellinger but pretty sure he will stay with the Yankees. After that, unless they can make a trade for a good SS/2B/OF (Preferably an OF), I would start the season as is and adjust through the season or at the deadline. There will be good players to trade for once teams are out of the wild card race.
  5. I'm expecting one of Tucker, Bichette, Bellinger or Bregman to sign by end of day tomorrow. Why ? Because I would prefer having my next team settled before going in family parties to being asked all night long about it if I was them.
  6. Unreal. I can’t believe they got to the point where they can lose tonight and still win the world series tomorrow. Just keep it simple and destroy them tonight though ! Awesome team. Great stories, good and likeable players. Enjoy all !!!
  7. I was about 3500th in the online queue to buy tickets for game 7. I had hopes I could get tickets in the 500s but as soon as I got access everytime I would try to select a pair under 1000$ they were gone. At some point I had a pair in the 200’s for 1400$ that I released to try and get cheaper tickets. Big mistake as I wasn’t able to get anything in the 500’s after and when I decided to go ahead and buy the 1400$ tickets, they were gone and there was only resale tickets available. my bad for cheaping out I guess but it’s impressive that the 7 days all inclusive trip to Mexico I’ll be going to with my girlfriend this winter is basically the same price I would have paid for one game with the hotel, beer, food and gas !
  8. I love the luxury the Jays have to make adjustments to the lineup every game according to the pitcher they face. Doesn’t mean it won’t be effective tonight but the Yankees are starting the game with the exact lineup they used the last 2 games…
  9. I’m not too worried about the pitching situation for 2026. There is 36 500 000$ coming off the books with Bassitt and Scherzer gone. You can get an ace with that money alone and bet on internal growth for the 5-6th spots. There is also the option like mentionned above to sign a vetrin for a 1yr contract. Trade again for a legit pitcher at next year’s trade deadline if needed. Looking at yesterday’s league wide attendance, Jays are 3rd behind the Dodgers and about 100 behind the Mets. 5000 ahead of the Yankees. After a year where respected players like Scherzer, Bieber, Springer, Guerrero are wearing the uniform and seems to be thriving, I’d be very surprised it they struggle to attract at least one high end FA.
  10. What a stressful game and what a way to finish it by Guerrero, Barger, Clement and Fluharty !! you guys are tough on Shneider. I was scared he would let the game slip but he was agressive with the BP. Don’t forget this team is leading the AL and is 2nd in the entire league. It’s easy to criticize every single decision or move but overall he does way more good than bad.
  11. This lost sucks. Still don’t get why you throw in Chad Green when you’re only down 3-0 and still have 2 innings to hit. At least he probably identified the area needing improvement to the management himself !
  12. Random notes. - Funny stat line for Myles Straw. AVG .455 - OBP .417 - SLG .455 - Saw 2AB from Roden yesterday and I did not like his stance and discipline. Doesn’t take away his good early spring. Agree with you guys, Nimmala looks promising. Watched the 2nd game yesterday and Dasan Brown looked sharp defensively. Barger has to put his s*** together, he’s starting in Buffalo for sure !
  13. I was sarcastic Jonn. Only way he gets a shot is at CF if Loperfido and Springer are injured on top of Varsho to start the season.
  14. So you have RF - Santander CF - Springer LF - Alan Roden to start the season ? Don’t forget Myles Straw !!! 💁🏼‍♂️
  15. I agree… easier said than done. They would have to strike fast on a player they aim for. By doing so, you remove an option from the market and get a bidding war going on your own players. Anyhow, lots of ifs between now and then…. !
  16. I’m happy they didn’t give him the moon. If he is sticking to his number, if Bo is not interested in a contract extension and if we are in a WC spot come trade deadline, I believe we should be hybrid sellers. Jays would possess the likely 2 most wanted players. Trade those two to contenders for young players/prospects. Trade lesser prospects to get good FA’s to play 1B and 2B while Gimenez moves to SS. Adress any other weakness. Re-tool next summer. I doubt they would get that much more now than at the deadline especially for Bichette.
  17. Do you really think if Mets offer was 1 year/$15M he would take it instead of a 1 year/$25-30M from the Jays ?
  18. Jay’s interest was probably real. Alonso’s interest towards the Jays was not. We were his fall back option and we helped him get enough from the team he wanted to play for to go back there.
  19. I also think there is better options than Alonso to improve the roster. Could be Bregman or a trade. Could be RP + better back up catcher and keep money for the trade deadline for missing pieces. If one of Guerrero, Bichette or Santander were to be injured early in the season you would be really happy to have Alonso in the lineup despite his $25M though.
  20. Nice add to the rotation. Creates a lot of depth in both the rotation and bullpen. Price close to projected. I liked the suggestion of someone who had escalators according to innings pitched but I guess the guaranteed salary was the incentive. Without doing any research, could also be he has ties with players already in the team or about to join…
  21. It’s too bad I don’t remember my dreams more often… they seem to have a better accuracy than most “insiders” 💁🏼‍♂️
  22. Hope so. Last run. 2min left to play. 32-29 Chiefs. I’m in a Dominican Republic resort and the only tv is showing a soccer game and a bicycle race. Asked a few people and they don’t have control on tv’s. Refreshing the score app every 20sec since the beginning of the game !!
  23. I get it. That’s why I suggested 6 years @ 27.5m for Bregman.
