It just hit me that at some point next year, most of us will have been on this website for ten years.

That's f***ing wild to me. It really doesn't feel like it's been that long.

Knowing I'll have 10-year-old posts on here at that point makes me wonder how much f***ing dumb ass s*** I've said on this site over the years.

Were you on the old forum? I've been posting since '03, lol. 19 years... Welp... :/

That is pretty crazy. I was maybe couple years after that

I'm in the same boat, somewhere around 20 years.

I was on the old forum in HS, graduated in 2009 so I’m approaching 15 years.

Agreed with most of this. I was very negative on Biggios ability to play 3B full time. He may have brought his defensive woes to the plate like Vladdy the year before because he's definitely not as bad as he looked last year.

Biggio at 2B full-time with Espinal as the backup 3B/SS/2B works for me too. Let's find a good starting 3B though.

Nah, I doubt it was that... he played most of the season injured, I expect a decent bounceback this year.

Nah, that's why it's extra wild for me, lol.

I was on Pro Sports Daily before coming here. I couldn't stand the old MLB.com forum layouts.

Cavan is like the poster boy between old-school analytics and new-school analytics.

Old school analytics he's an on base machine with power and can play multiple positions, down last year because of injury, entering age 27 season would be the exact guy you target (or avoid selling if you have him).

New school analytics he's doesn't have great batted ball data and defensive metrics aren't great and has a hole in his swing or something...

Will be interesting to see how it turns out. I'm rooting for him this year.

I was on fanhome or something 2001 or so. When I was a teen-ager in late early 90s I remember stats were only available once a week from Toronto Star. I kept track of them during the week in an early spread sheet program

His OBP abilities give him that higher floor than most and will give him every opportunity to make that swing adjustment that helps him get to his power more. His barrel rate is pretty gross.

Héctor Gómez

@hgomez27

#BlueJays talks with Jonathan Villar are intensifying. Red Sox, Dodgers, Cubs and Mariners continue to show interest.

After rosterbating all off season over Ramirez, Bryant, Chapman, Donaldson, etc...signing Villar would be quite the let down lol

I'd honestly prefer no moves to signing Villar. I would bet that Espinal puts up better numbers than him this year.

Admin and I had plans for a big celebration for the 1 million post and forgot. I even had a Blue Jays celebrity who had agreed to read a message (probably best that it didn't happen cause it would have surely had a f*** Weams part). Maybe I'll get something done for the 10 year anniversary next May.

Who should we try to find and bring back?

Noxage or ECJF would be the likely top choices.

I still talk to Nox throughout the football season and will be visiting him and his family next fall. I'm sure he'd provide us with a visit. ECJF shouldn't be that hard to find either. He did a drop-in in 2020

I think with the last two signings we're at 40 on the roster. So who do we start dropping now?

We're at 40 now after the Vasquez (I still don't believe this one) and Kikuchi signings. Anything further and we have to drop a player. Assuming no trades. I have Palacios and Thornton in the top two spots to go.

Francis? Saucedo? Kevin Smith? Almost all their team has options (McGuire being the most notable exception who doesn't have a job locked down) so it's tough to pick one.

Trade? wait until the season starts and put some guys on the 60 day?

I wonder if Borucki will figure it out this year finally? Great stuff, s***** control.

Best chance to get Borucki through waivers is in the first month of the season, when there are loads of players on waivers. Good chance he'll start with the big club and then get waived.

Probably not

I do not want Villar but he projects to be useful in some role and was okay last year.

If Toronto signs him I'll applaud Ross for not letting bias get in the way. It really should be completely irrelevant that he was bad here for 22 games in 2020...

Tough to unsee though. In other words; some cocks can’t be unsucked

Would you do Groshans and Pearson for Chapman ?
