    It's weird man. People who's background is from places near the equator... they look like theyre 30 until they're like 70. Then they look 90 the next day. It's like "old" just comes in the mail one day.

    2 great send-offs today. And really, both could still be back next season (whenever that is). I'd hate to see them come back anywhere other than to the Jays but I hope they've earned the privilege to call their shots at this point

    Looks like Schneider said "no sh*t" Pretty sure they all know Max will decide when he comes out. That little jog by Schneider with 2 outs was pure theatre.

    Same thing they did this season likely. BV is a good defensive catcher but his bat needs work. He's still a backup.

    Absolutely. The George sendoff will mean more to TO. Btw... if no police horse shows up with some actor dude with his tarp off, the Jays marketing team missed out on a massive opportunity

    For all their faults, Jays fans know whats up with Scherzer. He will get the ovation he deserves. It may not mean the same baseball-wise or have the same emotional context, but that's not in the fans control

    Scherzer says he isnt making any decisions until the offseason, whereas Verlnader has already confirmed hes hangin it up I agree though, when he leaves the mound... he should get the same type of send-off... just in case. Just hope he pitches well and doesnt go out on a low

    Kirk is just as good though. Well, like...90% as good. He's also just 1 year older. Kirk is the better defender, but not by much. Moreno is the better offensive player, but not by much though the margin is wider than the defensive edge of Kirk. Of course I'd rather have Moreno now with hindsight given the body comparisons as Moreno will probably age better, but... the trade was perfectly legit in its thought process. Deal from strength where you already have a keystone and get someone back where to make a team wekaness better. Yep, Varsho didnt put in the best 4 years and that sucks. But the process of the trade is easily defensible.

    Id argue his framing numbers are even more important with ABS since the challenges are limited.
