If the Rangers had a good bullpen this year they probably would have won 95-100 games.

 

Yeah the pen is that gap I was mentioning. Realistically the only thing preventing the Dodgers from showing up right now is all the injuries to the SP.

You’re right, except Baltimore’s ownership won’t be paying what needed to get the higher end arms, they’ll sign the 4s and 5s (plenty to choose from this off-season) like they did with Gibson and just hope to outhit the opposition.

 

What’s more likely with Baltimore is they find a team with excess young starting pitching prospects who needs a young position player prospect and swing a deal.

 

Miami was a logical trade partner last offseason, maybe still but their pitching surplus isn’t quite the same as a year ago

On top of it they got swept so now the Orioles Fanboys of the board can't say they have more playoff wins than Vlad and Bo. It won't stop them from saying they have more AL East titles but still.

I’m cheering for Houston. They have done everything right for a while now. Draft, develop, and sign the right players while letting others go. Well oiled machine that keeps on turning out results

Bradish wasn’t great but didn’t lose it for them. Sticks didn’t do their job. Grayson was a big disappointment. I didn’t see that coming but I’m a fanboy. Tonight isn’t surprising

 

Did you miss the part where they have a generational player coming? I personally think Grayson will be a stud next year too. They are due to get a lot better doing nothing than the Jays are. I think they need to trade for a SP though.

The playoffs showed the O's weakness in full force. Their starting pitching is hot garbage and somehow worked with smoke and mirrors for the season. Still a very exciting and scary team once they get some more solid arms.
