I think Bateman can run into 6-10 bombs, and that's plenty for him. He just has to hit enough balls hard enough to keep outfield defenses honest so they don't play him like a pitcher hitting and take away the soft liners and bloopers.

I keep thinking the other shoe is going to drop for Bateman at some point. Then he goes to yet another level.

Sanchez was a nice dude. I feel kind of bad for him because you could see by the end that he had clearly gotten into his own head about his defense. But we're at the "do what must be done" point of the season. I can see him having a surprise season for some team that's willing to give him an everyday spot. The next Ty France.

The Orioles realistically have almost no chance given that they have to make up four games on the Guardians (they lost the tie breaker) with 15 games remaining without any more head-to-heads. All they can really do is knock us out of it and giftwrap a spot to the Guardians. But they still believe they have a chance, and they will play inspired baseball.

Loses by Texas and the White Sox on a light day of baseball. Texas has a tough upcoming schedule and they just lost a deGrom start, which really stings them. I think it's going to be difficult for Texas to even get to .500. Would be really good for the White Sox to keep choking.

In elementary school, we had a Catholic school and public school that shared the same building. s*** was competitive on the shared playground at lunchtime between the two. During one lunchtime game, I hit a walk-off three run home run on the schoolyard baseball diamond for the Catholic side after the guy before me got hit with a first pitch off his head. We celebrated, I was a hero. Then there was a brawl. Let's just say there were always unnecessary but very real racial undertones between the Public and Catholic schools. Good f***ing Times😅

I guess Vlad he isn't "back" after all just because he had one f***ing good game. This season is not all on him, but we're easily in a playoff spot if this motherf***er is even just bad by his standards. But no, he had to go and have a total f***ing abortion of a season.
