I held my tongue for almost two months and a half out of respect for his playoff run but he's worse now than he's ever been. At this point he needs ritual sacrifice.

Maybe he was on the Tatis stuff. Maybe they're both off the Tatis stuff.

I was never banking on Garcia's comeback to begin with. I always held the viewpoint that I will expect nothing while hoping for the best and this is why. Age, injuries, lack of playing time. It's a toxic mix. I'll continue to hope, but I'll be very pleasantly surprised if he's pitching leverage innings for us this year.

I kind of wish that was true because at least there would be an explanation and there's an end in sight. But we've seen this type of thing out of him several times in the last few seasons, never quite this bad but, It's like he's aging in dog years. Except for one magical month where he finally looked like the mega MVP superstar we thought he was. Make it make sense.

Oh and by the way, what's up with this guy not running to first base anymore? I understand it's not worth tearing a quad gunning it on a routine ground ball but even ground balls were the fielder might have to make a tough play and you want to at least force a rushed throw this guy is just cruising at this point. He's 10 feet from the base. There's a very obvious decline in his base running effort this year.

No we can't live with this in the regular season. We need this ******* to make the postseason. Besides, how about the other postseasons when he was absolute s***? Remember the pickoff of second base because of how much of an idiot he is? This motherf***er doesn't get to live off of one great month. Especially when we have seen these immense power outages over the course of the last three regular seasons. His power is progressively getting worse. He's supposed to be in his prime. It's year one of that embarrassing contract.

I might believe this more if we hadn't seen this pattern emerging in the last few years. But it seems his power numbers just keep dropping more and more and more especially in the first half. This isn't a fluke, it's becoming a feature.

Well, wasn't expecting to win this one anyway. We can still take this series.

He's done a very good job of winning these smaller types of margin trades.

The upcoming schedule is deadly from a pitching standpoint, we really need our arms back healthy.

I think there will be a lot less hemming and hawing about the Blue Jays bullpen usage once we start to get healthy guys back this week. The addition of even one starter frees up Spencer Miles to be a regular option and the addition of Nance gives us yet another option. Two more additions will make a big difference to lengthening this pen. I still hold my breath with the Garcia situation though. What the heck happened with Ryan Burr by the way? He dead?

Oh he absolutely might be, if he is it's even more urgent that we try to get rid of him sooner rather than later. If he continues to have a fantastic season I think it's a decision they should make in the off-season. I would at least see what the value is out there.
