The Estrada deal looks pretty great right now although I wonder if they regret not adding a 3rd year to the deal. Happ has been great, I think I saw that his fastball has a top 5 pitch value of every pitcher in baseball which is pretty remarkable.

Tons of faith in Shapiro to build the Jays into a perennial powerhouse.

I wonder how often people with autism get a master's degree and supervise others. If I actually had a mental illness, it would quite an achievement and not something to be ashamed of like BTS suggests.

These are just the typical lengths he goes to in order to divert the conversation when he makes a stupid comment on a baseball issue and gets called out. I don't think he treats people in real life like that for what it's worth. Trying to judge someone's real personality from internet comments is a fool's errand.

Is referring to someone on the autism spectrum or calling someone or something retarded any less worse than using the words fag or gay? We as a society have become socially aware of the latter, not so much the former.

I think it's getting better. My nephew is a child with Down Syndrome and I hear less of the R-word being bandied about than I used to. Still too much of it, but definitely better.

Are you old enough that we can fight at Yonge and Bloor tonight without it being me abusing a minor?

I just hope Estrada's back can hold up these 2 years, let alone a third. He's a pretty big concern right now.

Happ, Estrada, Biagini, Barney, Grilli, and Floyd were all good moves. If Chavez was a starter I think that move would look better than it does. Only real bad moves were Storen and Morales, and I guess now Smoak but that's probably more questionable than it is bad.

It was tongue-in-cheek and the fact that you didn't pick up on that and instead wrote two paragraphs of analysis is evidence that BTS' half-joking claim may in fact be accurate.

Also, what mod deleted my comment telling that dad to toughen up? lol

Do you really get offended when people use the word retarded on the internet? lol

Language changes so much over time, retarded just doesn't mean what it used to. Literally no one would use it anymore to describe someone with a mental illness. Retarded just means "really stupid" and anyone who is offended by its usage in that context is totally out of touch

I don't know if offended is the right term to use, but no, I personally don't like it, due to the negative connotation associated with its use.

If you still use retard as an insult , you come across as a loser. Just sayin.

Hey my brother is a loser and i dont like you using that as an insult.

Grant has a serious mental issue. Have no idea what it is. I shudder to think he is supervising people.

In his pre-reason predictions He was right about Sanchez(so far), and wrong (very wrong) about Ben Revere.

Normal evaluation of Grant - Grant predicted Revere and Sanchez would be awesome, He is one out of two. Grant is human like us all, he is right, he is wrong, he wins, he loses, such is the fate of man.

Grants evaluation of Grant - You know quite well what happened with Revere. He had an injury. Stop twisting things... you know full well my prediction was based on him playing 145 games. Any one can see that a healthy Revere would of put up 2 WAR.

It's kind of subjective, though. For example, I roll my eyes when I see a user name hearkening back to the "glory days".

Yes and No. If someone tells you that they don't appreciate it, you acknowledge it and don't use it again in front of them. SJW's tend to pounce on people who use that term out of habbit which is beyond annoying though, so there's that

Next thing you know he'll be punting kittens, picking the wings off flies and then it's only a short walk to blowing yourself up in the name of Allah
