    Sanchez himself has stated that part of his struggle is due to limited experience in LF, he did have just 66 starts there over the previous five seasons. I'm now curious though, was there much talk about Sanchez defense earlier in the season, or have all the issues mostly occurred since he returned from the ankle injury suffered in late June? I don't think there is a way to view defensive stats by month

    There's definitely confidence issues arising now, and that's pulling bad defense down to dogshit levels. But it's not just in his head, he is notably slower this season

    The weird part is that he was always an ok defender prior to this year, and isn't really old enough to expect his defense to have fallen off a cliff like this.     Keys small sample of LF duty seemed to go well, they should give him a shot

    He had a couple wet noodle throws from LF, really limits his value if he's essentially a bat-only guy who can't take a walk. He did show that he can hit a nuke though

    Tough matchup with Cameron having been on fire of late. Across his 27.2 innings in August, batters have only managed a measly .129/.198/.172 - hopefully we can end his run here tonight

    I've believed for quite some time now that he must have some sort of nagging injury - a back/rib/abdominal issue would make total sense. His bat speed is still there (in his hands) but he doesn't explode through the ball upon contact as we've seen in the past. Even just having a lingering thought that something may pop when you swing - that could have a huge impact until you shake it.
