I'm pretty sure I'm like 15 years younger, like 30 pounds heavier, and don't have a a bad back.

Makes it more impressive, no?

Lots of talk around Floydd making the rotation. If that's true do both Hutch and Sanchize start in the minors?

Dickey

Happ

Stroman

Estrada

Sanchez

That's more like it

So if Straily for Jimenez happens, we're looking at...

Stroman

Dickey

Estrada

Happ

Floyd

Storen

Osuna

Cecil

Chavez

Straily

Choate/Venditte/Girodo

Delabar/Biagini

With Chavez, Danks and Straily all out of options, you pretty much have to give one of them the 5th spot and put the other two in the pen. This would pretty much guarantee Sanchez starts the season in the minors and losing at least one of Biagini or Delabar unless a trade can be swung for Biagini.

Is that a rumoured deal? I haven't seen that anywhere.

Edit: Found it on previous page.

I see it more like this

http://media.riemurasia.net/albumit/mmedia/v/5hz/u3ia/43549/795111812.gif

Every time I see this clip I think.... "Hmmmm, opponent underestimation of bibical proportions."

"Human brain contains about 100 billions neurons (10^11) and about hundred trillions synapses (10^14). Each neuron can fire about 100 times a second. If we model brain as a simple neural network, then it would be equivalent to machine that performs 10^16 operations per second."

I wonder at which one of those brain operations did his ego instantly realize just how much he misjudged his actions - when his opponent wrapped his arms around his upper body, when he was being lifted shoulder high, when he saw the ground rushing to meet his body, or when he felt himself being bounced off the concrete floor?

Anyway, sometimes we need to hit our head against a wall (in this case a concrete floor) to learn a lesson the hard way.

If i remember correctly the fat kid was super meek and the little guy had been bullying him for months until he finally snapped and this happened. The kid who got slammed broke his leg.

Floyd has pitched 24.1 innings in 2013, 54.1 innings in 2014 and 13.1 innings in 2015 and their were a few innings in the minors in those years, but not many. He had 7 additional innings in the minors last year.

How many innings can you realistically expect from floyd as a 5th starter? Just throw him in the bullpen and give the 5th spot to hutch. If you're concerned about innings limits for Sanchez, why wouldn't you be concerned about how many innings floyd's arm can handle.

Floyd is a FA after this season and the Jays have $1 Million invested in him. Sanchez has 5 more years of control.

Straily has excellent minor league numbers and over the last 3 years, with a minimum of 200 IP in the MLB, Straily sits 18th out of 169 starters in SwStr%. Sandwiched between Greinke and King Felix.

Delabar also gets a ton of swing and miss and has performed very well in the minors FWIW. Sure he's worth a look as a reliever over the next 2 weeks to see if there is something there but I don't think he should be guaranteed a roster spot.

#BlueJays announce that Marco Estrada will start tomorrow. Floyd will pitch in relief, Happ will now start in a Minor League game.

okay, I get that, but if you're likely not going to get 10+ starts from a guy, give hutch the job right out of the gate and put him in a position to succeed and throw floyd in the bullpen where he could provide a lot more in a realistic role for what his arm can handle.

Meh that hurts your SP depth though. Since you already have Chavez as the long man, if you make Floyd a reliever you probably can't turn him into a starter again. It sounds like Floyd is pitching pain free which wasn't the case the last few years so I think there is a better chance he stays healthy this year anyways.

Even if Hutch deserves to be in the rotation its not the worst thing in the world to have him start in Buffalo.

floyd is a reliever. He's been one for 3 years. Might be fun if he starts, we can start a pool for when his arm will fall off. Put me down for May 10th

So you get 7 effective starts for 1M and move on to the next guy. What's the problem?

Estrada was a reliever too... It's not unheard of to go from reliever to starter.

You're so compassionate to the player..lol. Floyd has a good arm. In the bullpen he can provide some value and depth. The 7 starts he gives you vs the one's hutch gives you would be the same. What happens if storen or Osuna or both go down.

Let's not Gavin Floyd has also been an established starter in the MLB. Much more so than a reliever.

He's trolling.

Floyd was a great investment. 8-10 good starts and he will get a good contract next year; home town discount to us for help him now.

I'm sorry this isn't the season of "protect Gavin Floyd's arm". This is the season of "Let's win it all"
