  1. You saw on their faces, they decided of doing that before the game even started. To make matters worse, they didn't even let Kikuchi stay in the game, could have just used another reliver as someone who is used to come in mid game with men on.
  2. Maybe it's the angle but shouldn't Vladdy stretch towards the ball? Kinda looks like he caught it when it almost reach his chest.
  3. I noticed we always fail when we give someone opening game of the season.
  4. Some people benefit from new scenery and some people get cold feet and crumble under pressure.
  5. Must have been mentioned somewhere before, but did anyone notice Edwin was in the dugout the past week or so? Any idea what's going on? If I had to guess someone asked him to sit with Vlady, but not sure.
  6. Me: If I'm John Schneider, manager of the blue jays, when should I use Zach Pop? ChatGPT: As the manager of the Toronto Blue Jays, you would have the final say on when to use Zach Pop in games. Here are some situations in which you might consider bringing him in: 1. Facing right-handed batters: Zach Pop has a track record of being effective against right-handed batters. If the opposing team has a lineup with several right-handed hitters due up, Pop could be a good option to bring in for relief appearances. 2. Late innings of a close game: If the Blue Jays are holding a narrow lead or the game is tied in the later innings, Pop could be a solid option to bring in for relief. His ability to generate ground balls could be useful in getting crucial outs and preserving the lead. 3. High-pressure situations: If the game is on the line and the Blue Jays need a big out, Pop could be a viable option to bring in. His fastball that sits in the mid-90s and his slider that can generate swings and misses could make him effective in high-pressure situations. 4. Versus lower part of the opposing lineup: Pop can induce ground balls at a high rate, and as such, he could be a good option to bring in to face the lower part of the opposing lineup, where there may be weaker hitters who are more likely to hit ground balls. Ultimately, the decision of when to use Zach Pop would depend on the game situation, matchups, and overall strategy, and would be up to your discretion as the manager of the Blue Jays.
  7. That’s a fun popular tweet.
  8. He's an expendable rental on a young building team.
  9. I have a feeling Arizona will flip him to the Yankees and we will get to see him a lot more.
  10. If we look at the draft order for 2021, first pick after Competitive Balance Round B was #72. To make it more interesting, Astros got #132 pick for losing Springer because they exceeded the luxury tax. My point stands, while you can find some gems with a 3rd round pick, I don't see how you favor a 3rd round pick over a top of the rotation free agent starter.
  11. IÂ’m really shocked about this, at that price we should have had both pitchers IMO. I find it hard to believe either Ray or front office werenÂ’t interested in a reunion. I also find it hard to believe front office preferred getting the pick than retaining Ray, itÂ’s not a first round pick, more like a third or fourth round pick.
  12. Kinda hard to rule a guy out after 75 ab’s if you ask me...
  13. Most of the stuff Martin posts is more about himself than the Jays. There is probably a while before we sign him.
  14. So we offered 3/30 and he signed for 4/64. Either Reds are insane or our front office is clueless.
