Sorrow Verified Member Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 Bellinger if he’s in the ballpark of 20-25/season isn’t a bad addition. He doesn’t have platoon splits for his career, plays four positions so allows the team to rotate other guys easily and he’s still a good but not great bat. I would obviously prefer Tucker but if you can get say Bichette and Bellinger for $10m a season more than Tucker alone I think it raises the overall floor and ceiling significantly. Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 I can’t imagine many teams interested in giving him 5+ years. We have seen him fall off the map before.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 Does Bellinger's pull-heavy, low exit-velo approach make him a Yankee Stadium merchant? Or would that approach work at RC too?

Daydreaming lol. Belli pretty much fits their motto of versatility, defense, contact He feels like a time bomb though but what do I know I also think it’s fine and probably a good idea to have a couple guys who aren’t all cut from the same cloth but that’s just a hunch Orgfiller 1
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 imo Bellinger feels pretty similar to Springer when we signed him.

hanton Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Bellinger won MVP at 23 years old, in the top 10 of youngest MVP winners all-time, he had a couple of ruff years but I think he's back - has been for 3 years straight. At worst he's an average bat with an elite glove.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Getting Bo + Bellinger would be a home run offseason from an offensive perspective. Just getting Bo back would be enough for me because im expecting Santandar to bounce back. Getting a closer is a must. I whined about Hoffman not being that guy most of the season and it ultimately killed us in Game 7. hanton 1
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Raisel Iglesias off the board. Back in Atlanta for one-year at $16M.

Governator Community Moderator Posted November 20, 2025 Posted November 20, 2025 Bellinger would be sweet, especially that he plays all outfield spots and can plug into 1B at a dime. However, the inconsistency is just so frustrating year over year, I banked on his projections in the past for my fantasy team and that was torture at times, You can blame injury or whatever but when we get an off year with him, it'll feel as frustrating as Santandar was. That said, sign Bo please. Spanky__99 1

The only time he came in a close game was game 7 ALCS, so likely any other reliever subs for Hoffman they still make the World Series. I mean certainly a different guy might have blown game 7 ALCS on the other a different closer might have saved both game 7s. I get that he was good in the playoffs. However only 2 save opportunities of which he converted 1. I don't think this is black and white. What do you consider? Hoffman's last appearance? Last 10? The entire year's worth of work? Can't do anything about the past, but what do you consider going forward? Guy gives up most homers for a reliever in baseball, gives up homer in most critical inning in 30 years. Do we consider the 15 homers in regular season? Or just last 10 games? When evaluating his role.
