  1. I'd rather see a prospect-for-prospect deal involving Keys to address 2B long-term instead of something resembling the Varsho trade.
  2. Call me the devil, but Varland's market value will never be as high as it is right now. They should most certainly be open to the idea of dealing him this offseason if a franchise-changing prospect package is on the table.
  3. Agreed. Personally I think they should use the Brett Bateman example and trade for a decent MLB-ready SS/2B prospect who'll contribute before the middle of next season*.
  4. Most other managers would've at least tried to light a fire under him.
  5. It's a foregone conclusion.
  6. After Popkins gets shitcanned, this is who should replace him:
  7. Losing the first 3-4 months of 2027 to a lockout wouldn't be such a bad thing, the relief core could use the extended break.
  8. Yeah, but it also means the front office won't have to overspend in order to compete with other teams for free agents.
  9. There's no way the PA would accept that proposal unless it's grandfathered in.
  10. Not feeling too great about having a starting outfielder with the durability of a cracker. Hopefully an offseason priority for the FO.
  11. How about trading for a blue chip OF prospect, you know, to address an actual need? (preferably someone who isn't made of glass)
  12. Whatever moves they make in the next 12 days should have 2028 in mind.
  13. If they're selling, they should target prospects like Overn or Morgan from TB (I'd rather see them clinch the division anyway instead of NY).
  14. I'm open to a deal with TB (since we both have a common enemy). They have several mid-low level OF prospects with 60+ grade fielding that the Jays could sure use next season.
  15. I think they should rehire Charlie Montoya as a bench coach. He had success in getting through to Vlad during his time here (another post mentioned how he was on his ass for hitting too many ground balls, etc).
  16. The inconsistency of this team is downright silly. lol
  17. *sigh* Not watching the game. Who is it this time?
  18. Management sure loves torturing the hell out of Jays fans with this s***. lol
