Just grind Snell like you did Game 1. Going home up 3-2 would be lovely. Hopefully Trey can get splitter going early. This is his first road playoff start I believe. All his other starts were in Toronto.

Dodgers counting on their offense to score a ton of runs. If Yesavage pitches his 2nd best game (won't top his postseason debut) it should be an easy win unless Snell goes full Yamamoto

Ross Atkins would get burned alive if the team was healthy and started Alex Call in LF and Kike Hernandez in CF in a pivotal World Series game. These guys are scrubs.

Get the ball to the outfield and the hits will fall.

Betts no longer batting 2nd and Smith replaced that spot. I am not sure if we should walk Ohtani tonight.

yep I was waiting for this and shocked Roberts didn't make the move much earlier - desperate times in LA

Why bump Freeman down though?

Ohtani - Betts - Freeman was scary because of 1 and 3, and Toronto doesn't have an elite LHRP

Ohtani - Smith - Betts makes it possible to IBB Ohtani with a RHRP and have less fear of ever seeing Freeman

Mookie has been so bad he should be 5th/6th in that order but then again their entire lineup hasn't been hitting much.  The only bats that scare me are Ohtani, Freeman and Muncy

Springer might play. Still figuring it out.

Coach says Barger is in the lineup regardless. Nice.

Must win tonight as winning Game 6 against Yamamoto on the mound will be a significant task

if I'm LA I bat Freeman 3rd and Muncy 4th but I guess Roberts is trying to balance things out, Yesavage will carve this lineup up

I think the Dodgers feel that YeSavage is actually better vs. LHP bc of the splitter.

That's why they moved Muncy down and why Edman bats righty against him, despite being a switch hitter.

Totally agree on them moving Freeman down though. His splits are small anyway and the guy always has good ABs. Moving him and Ohtani further apart makes it a little easier to navigate with our righties who might be able to pitch around both Ohtani and Freeman now.

Lots of different things in motion here.

Dodgers with an expected change in their lineup. I think it's smart to move Smith up, defense might be suspect.

I don't know how Springer is still on the roster with what looked like an oblique, the fact that he's even being considered must mean they have him spaced out on some serious painkillers. However, him being out does allow Bo to stay at DH so I wouldn't go crazy with with forcing Springer here if it is an oblique.

Yesavage has been mostly mediocre after that dominant first game. No way of knowing how he'll react to pitching on the road in LA.

Mysteries abound...

and the LA outfield has just been lucky todate - they are due for some errors

Alex Call who has no business starting a WS game, zombie Kike Hernandez who should have been out of the league years ago (in CF!!), and Teoscar Hernandez who we all know sucks out in the field

The hits will fall, just get the ball into play

Springer returning and playing a big role in these final 3 games would be absolutely legendary stuff.  I am 100% here for it.

I also support Barger over Straw.  He's been incredibly solid in the playoffs.

LFG boys.

Even if he's available only to PH would be nice.

I don’t doubt he can run, i don’t think he can swing a bat though
