You’re asking the manager to put his own players down which he’s not going to do. Im sure internally they’re going to knock Little down a peg or two in the hierarchy now.

No I'm asking him to stay "my bad.  Little was not the right reliever in that spot".  Or even, I was told by Barker's khakis to put him in...

Dude they were fine, they just used the wrong guy in the 8th. Nobody is enjoying this so not sure why you keep saying that.

He's unhinged right now, I've got a pit in my stomach too, guy, lol.

I feel sorry for the kid, he didn't deserve that. JS asking waaaay too much from a rookie reliever on the big stage. Baffling decision...

Yea it's really weird that they don't use Lauer or Bassitt. You know, two of our few pitchers with a WAR above zero on the season

Could they be injured because it's nonsense usage so far

At least Springer x ray negative.  He can tough it out.

Contusions can really linger, especially with how brutal his injury looked.

All these people calling for firing the manager.  Lol.  Yeah let's fire the manager (who's up for manager of the year) in the middle of the ALCS.

All the same people who were wanting Hoffman DFA'd earlier this year now wanted him to pitch instead of the guys who gave it up tonight. Hoffman was pitching the 9th.  You know? The 9th inning, the job of the closer.

A good manager trusts his guys.  It just didn't work out tonight.  S**t happens.  It's baseball.

You'd have pitched Lauer tonight?

Jays have done a horrible job of not using Lauer in high leverage situations to see if he could be their guy in these spots.  He has done amazing in practically every role so I cant see why he wouldnt be able to do that.  Just let one of their best arms all year go to waste practically because they had no clue what to do with him.

You're not bringing in Lauer or Bassitt in that situation.  That's insane.  It should have been Dominguez.

It definitely should have been Dominguez or Hoffman.  Both of whom shouldn't have been used yesterday.

That just isn't true.  There's very little to suggest you're able to use Lauer in the 8th inning v. the heart of the lineup.

Lauer has been great this year in various roles.  They use him in proper situations, but he isn't an 8th inning guy.  It was Dominguez man.  It's easy.

You totally missed the point in saying they didnt find the right role for one of their best arms all year whether thats the 6th/7th/8th/whatever.

And despite the idiocy on display, you still have to give at least some props to Little for facing the media scrum.   Gotta put it all on JS for the loss.

Took it on the chin like a man.  Showed good character.  Feel awful for him.  He's human.  So is Schneider.  He made great decisions last night and tonight he doesn't.  Nobody bats 1000.  We've been resilient all year.   We need to be again - and we can.

What a rollercoaster this series has been.  This is the most fun a season has been in several decades for me.

Honestly doesn’t feel as bad as losing that game to the Yankees. I was gutted after that one.

We won 2/3 in Seattle. 0/2 at home so far, need to make it 2/4. We can do it

No. We still had the series lead. Physical errors will happen, Aaron Judge hitting a home run that only a cyborg can hit. I can much easier live with those.

But this is a train that many of us have seen coming for months. It's a train that all of us saw coming down the tracks except the manager.

John Schneider. The man who tied us all to the tracks to make sure that we all got run over by the Brendon Little train.

It's the long-term inevitability of crushing death that we all saw coming.
