I think the worry with Bassitt is he’s much more likely to serve up meatballs if stuff isn’t working. And the home/road splits are pretty crazy

Nice! Yeah I saw some great seats available in the 200's for around $500-$600 each. I'm thinking of biting the bullet. If the series ends up going to a Game #5 should be epic. Plus I'm assuming ticket prices for a Game #5 would increase from the current prices now. 

I doubt I'm travelling anywhere for the ALCS unfortunately. Game's 3 and 4 on the road would fall during the week in Detroit or Seattle so makes it impossible for me.

Seatgeek is partnered with the jays so the tix should be safe/legit.

Yeah I was searching on TM Resale and not much inventory as SeatGeek. 

SeatGeek prices are CAD as well?

TD Comfort Club Sec 221A Row 2 and aisle seats for $454 each for today's game. That's a pretty damn good price.

From the looks of it this morning, prices have dropped a bit for today's game. You can get really good 100 or 200 level infield seats for around $300-$400 on SeatGeek including fees.

That's not a shocker, no Bassitt is somewhat. 

Bruihl over Bassitt confirms what I've been thinking, bullpen day is a better chance to win than Bassitt and certainly Scherzer.

Glad Scherzer isn't on the ALDS roster. 

Shocked about Bassitt but yeah in a short 5-game series you might not need him. Just gotta hope the Jays don't tax their pen too much this series. 

Gausman would start a potential Game #5. I would start Bieber tomorrow, so he could be available in a Game #5 in an emergency out of the pen.

No Scherzer I get, he seems virtually unplayable. But no Bassit is a little surprising, no?

Hopefully none of our guys get blown up forcing Lauer to pitch half a game. Because it seems like they intend to run the Varland/Lauer experience again.

They have 10 bullpen arms. I don't think they would pitch Bieber on short rest anyway because I don't think they will do that with him coming off surgery. I don't think that's going to be an option this postseason for him at all. Nor do I have any reason to think that would be a better option than our bullpen arms anyhow.

Yeah need Varland/Lauer for Game 3 or 4. Don't want to use them too much this weekend. Maybe just an inning at most if you expect them to go 3+ innings in Game 3 or 4.

Yeah but in a Game #5, all hands on deck. Want to have the most options available to you in that game. Ideally, you wouldn't want to have to use Bieber lol but you never know. That's why I would even go with Varland/Lauer in Game #3 so they're available in a potential Game #5 out of the pen.

Both guys can pitch game 4 and game 5, there is an offday in between

I understand the idea of all hands on deck but I think it's actually reckless to take a guy coming off of surgery and to start doing stuff like that with him. I don't think they're going to go there with him no matter what. Like it would have to be a desperate situation where you're deep into extra innings and there's nobody left.

Yeah true, but if you're asking Varland and Lauer to pitch multiple innings alongside with 40-50+ pitches, better to have two days of rest than one day. Front office will make that decision whether they use a BP game for #3 or #4.

I believe this will be the case.  Only 3 starters on the roster so Yesavage will start one of the first 3.  Game 3 is most important no matter what happens and it's at Yankee stadium so I think Bieber is the choice and Yesavage starts game 2.

Yeah obviously Bo doesn't want to play in this series and he's faking injury because he's selfish. Anyone with a brain can see that it's not a team decision when to activate Bo and Dante Bichette is the puppetmaster behind the scenes.

In little league I don't remember a teammate ever getting an injury and missing this many games.  You toughed it out because the team needs you.  Coaches son got in a car accident and his knees were toast, guess what, he play.
