Truthbomb 3:

When Sanchez, Happ and Donaldson return, the team will spin it as an immediate upgrade, as if they had made trades when in fact they will be no better than on day 1.

Have any roster moves been made yet for tonight's game? BP is gassed.

So far the only one I see is Ty Kelly being designated for assignment, but that was yesterday so was probably to make room for Latos.

I missed the game. How bad did it look?

Honestly it looked pretty innocent. The trainer didn't even come on the field. He walked off the field slowly but easily. It looked liked he just wanted to be cautious. It might be a couple day thing. I would be suprised if he goes on the DL.

It's Tulo.

Yep. No further explanation needed.

The guy will miss 6 weeks, give or take, every year with some injury. Just hope Barney starts at short and....ah, who am I kidding.

And he's on the DL....

The 1989 AL East Champion Toronto Blue Jays:

"After the first month of the season, the Blue Jays had 10 wins and 20 losses and sat 6.5 games behind the Baltimore Orioles in the standings...The Blue Jays had never fired a manager in the middle of the season. After the Jays were swept by the Minnesota Twins in a three-game series, including a 13-1 loss in the final game of the series, the Jays had 12 wins and 24 losses.[8] The Jays had also lost 15 of their last 19 games. Gillick decided that a change was needed. On Monday, May 15, Jimy Williams had become the first Jays manager to be fired in mid-season.[9] Williams would be replaced by Cito Gaston, the first black manager in the history of the franchise...It resulted in the Blue Jays finishing first in the American League East with a record of 89 wins and 73 losses."

THERE...IS...HOPE...

So we need a black replacement for Gibbons...And we already have Hale!

Say wha

Salty has been catching Estrada and I guess they are tired of Coghlan at third.

Curious if there are any stats on injuries based on position. In other words is there a greater risk of injury playing 3b vs catching.

I'm fairly certain there are greater risks catching than playing 3B.

I'm sure catching presents a substantially higher risk of injury than playing third. Aside from the strain that crouching for 9 innings puts on your knees, there's also the chance of getting hit on backswings and foulballs right at your hand or head, plus the generally riskier plays at the plate as opposed to someone sliding into third.

For most guys playing out of position and making movements you normally wouldn't may increase your injury risk. But with how athletic and flexible Martin is I doubt that applies to him. Hes in incredible shape. And hes even lighter this season.

I still don't like the move because Martin was paid a s*** load to be an excellent catcher. I really don't understand why we employee Salty. If your backup catcher can't hit atleast get one who isn't a complete drop off the table defensively.

Mitchel Lichtman‏ @mitchellichtman

How does Saltamacchia still have a job? Can't hit and is one of the worst framers/defenders in the game.

*shrugs*

Need to play Salty over Coghlan so bad they are throwing Martin in at 3rd. This is awful.

Looks like that notion was mostly #FakeNews

Shapiro probably saw the writing on the wall and hired a PR firm to plant some stories in Ontario making him look bright. Then Ed Rogers was psychologically infiltrated and Shatkins was free to flee to Canada.

It'll be a long next ten years for Toronto baseball fans, I tell you what.
