jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Sign both Iwakuma and Shark. I don't see Iwakuma leaving Seattle. There's a reason ownership would not allow him to be traded. Shark would be an interesting target. We know AA likes him...depends on the $$ he's looking for. I doubt he signs a pillow contract here.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 account deletion please guy had tix to tomorrow and sold em too Is this referring to me? Can't tell because mods merged my thread... I can't go to tomorrow's game, gotta work.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Offseason Wish List: 1. Stanton 2. Chris Davis 3. Corey Kluber 4. Shark No. 1. Stanton 2. Chris Sale 3. Jason Heyward 4. Carlos Carrasco 5. Corey Kluber 6. Chris Davis 7. Hisashi Iwakuma 8. Jeff Samardzija 9. BTS to be banned

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 All I want is for AA to ninja trade for Mike Trout and Bryce Harper. Is that so much to ask for? Just 2 little trades. That would give us an outfield of Trout-Pillar-Harper. Pretty sexy if you ask me.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Donaldson for Trout+Calhoun+prospects? Sounds fair to me. Trout had a career year and LAA should be looking to sell high.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Seems like to org is lacking faith in him and he's gotta start hitting If the org had no faith, I believe he would have been moved in one of the deadline deals.
500LevelSTH Verified Member Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere... Since Tulo is a 5+ signed to a longterm contract, does He have the right to request a trade or be granted FA at end of season?

Captainobvious Verified Member Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I love both but we need to find ways to upgrade our starting pitching and it'll be hard to re-sign both in 16 1) Who would you rather keep if you had to trade one to fill other holes? 2) Any trade ideas as to what we could get in return? Ex. A starting discussing of Edwin/Jose for Carrassco 2016 starting lineup LF Revere 2B Travis DH Bautista/Edwin 3B Donaldson SS Tulo 1B ??? C Martin CF Pillar RF Pompey
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 This team is win now mode. I wouldn't trade either.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Can we please stop talking about moving one year of Edwin/Bautista for 5 of cheap years of Carrasco?
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Nope keep both. They don't have as much value as people think they do. They control their destiny completely. Plus they are in the final year of there contracts. And we should be looking to bring them both back after that.
Laika Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Both would be close enough in value to Justin Upton, I think. Max Fried, Jace Peterson, Dustin Peterson, Mallex Smith. Seems like a bad trade for Atlanta, in hindsight. They should have been able to get a better piece than anything in that deal. Bad for SD as well.
baubau Verified Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Can we please stop talking about moving one year of Edwin/Bautista for 5 of cheap years of Carrasco? No, chut up! Don't ruin my dreams.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Trade them both for middling B prospects
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Edwin + $5m for Strasburg Edwin + $5m for Ross Edwin + $10m + nothing prospect for Liriano
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Edwin + $5m for Strasburg Edwin + $5m for Ross Edwin + $10m + nothing prospect for Liriano Those are probably all fair, but I'm not sure they make the team better.
baseballsss Verified Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 No, but he has a full no trade clause. Did that kick in when he got traded?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Those are probably all fair, but I'm not sure they make the team better. Eh, what are we gonna do, trade him for a middling prospect? It's a really complicated situation. Solution might just be to let EE walk. Or we could sign Gordon and move Bautista to 1B, lol
Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 This team is win now mode. I wouldn't trade either. Precisely. We really only need one good pitcher and some insurance for Sanchez and Osuna. There's room in the payroll for that without ruining our lineup.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Did that kick in when he got traded? Yes.

There's room in the payroll for that without ruining our lineup. I think one really good pitcher, and another solid pitcher and we're good. I'd like to keep one of Sanchez and Osuna in the 'pen. I wonder if Hutchinson would thrive in the 'pen?
Effit Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Anyone know the likelihood of the dome having a dirt infield for 2016?
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Anyone know the likelihood of the dome having a dirt infield for 2016? I think it was already confirmed
canadiansportsjunkie Verified Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I heard 2017 for dirt...
burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Honestly I don't even think I want a dirt infield. Seems the Blue Jays could use the turf to their advantage more without one. GB pitchers get an extra boost with the full turf field and if you put dirt on it, you might see a few more hits. Jays hitters are mostly Flyball hitters so I think it wouldn't impact them as much. That is why I would love to see Brett Anderson in Toronto as I think he would be a perfect fit.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Anyone know the likelihood of the dome having a dirt infield for 2016? they talked about having dirt in the infield for next year. That would be a great plus. I hate the cut outs. Of course a real grass field would be the best option but it's a step in the right direction
