You can't really blame the Dodgers for going to get Skubal. Baseball is so weak right now. And they have tons of good prospects. This move barely hurts them and puts them in a prime position to 3 peat. It would be hard to see any team currently that could beat them.

When the healthy the Dodgers 4-8 starting pitchers are better than 90% of the rest of the teams 1-5 starting pitchers.

 

And then their 1-3 are Yamamoto, Skubal, Ohtani.

well they lost a series to the rockies, swept by Backs, lost a series to the Red Sox just now.  They will need luck still to win.  I will be watching all the NL series they play in and if they win again it will hurt more than losing last year.  Thats how much I hate that team.  Especially that Japanese guy and some of the other players, actually many of the players.  

I will kill myself if the dodgers win.  Not even joking.

If they are 4.5 games back 5:00 pm today - trade everyone and aim for 2029

If they are 3.5 games back 5:00 pm today - hold steady.  Springer, Gaussman goodbye tour, end of era tour. 

If they are 2.5 games back 5:00 pm today - become buyers.

Let's be honest. Springer, Bieber, some of these guys have been little help this year anyway. Fresh blood may outperform them

Should trade guys that will be free agents next year ( Springer, Bieber, Jesus, and do a retool of the lineup, no just for this year but long term. If really Atkins can get Soto for Vlad, he should do it. Can use Okamoto at 1B, and send back Clement at 3B, so will need a 2B like Gleyber Torres. Let's say we add Peralta, the team will look far more better than now.

I wonder if Dodgers bribe the gm and owner of teams that give them their best players for crap. The gm of the Tigers, need to be fired asap if it's the best he can get for the best MLB starter. So what next, Mason Miller to Dodgers for Lauer and below average prospects?
