All RHH lineup is possible today with France and Bichette on the roster.  Will they do it?

Springer RF

Schneider LF

Guerrero 1B

Bichette 2B

Kirk C

Clement SS

France DH

IKF 3B

Straw CF

I don't see any scenario in which Varsho and Giminez don't play. Those are your everyday guys regardless of pitcher.

Unfortunately I'm going to end up missing the biggest game in 32 years due to prior commitments.

f***ing tough task for the boys, Snell is particular looked unhittable when we faced them in Los Angeles, there's no sugar coating the task at hand with their starters.

Good luck to the boys. A game one win would be absolutely massive to set the tone and announce our presence.

Let's Go Blue Jays!

I'm a shift worker and I took vacation to ensure I could watch the whole series live. lol

Yeah this is the time to call in sick if you need to. Potentially once in a lifetime series.

Gimenez i can see as the options for SS defense after him are definitely worse defensively. Varsho i can understand sitting against Snell specifically just because Snell murders lefties with strikeouts and Varsho is already prone to swing and miss. PLus, they lose virtually nothing defensively with Straw, and you just shift him to LF or RF later after Varsho enters the game pinch hitting for someone else like France or Schneider.

I know but Schneider never likes to sit Varsho. He's somebody that is an everyday player no matter what. Unless that suddenly changes tonight.

Agreed! I think the only "prior commitment" that trumps this is a medical emergency for a child/spouse. lol

It's not even work related. I promised something to somebody and I'm a man of my word.

Maybe me not watching will be good luck lol 🤞🏽

He was sat plenty down the stretch leading up to the playoffs, but yeah, has been a mainstay since the playoffs started. You're probably right that he's in there. I was just saying there is a logical reason why sitting him could make sense.

Shift work and black coffee go hand in hand

That Dodgers bullpen has pitched 27.2 innings in these playoffs. They lost the second guy in their pecking order in Vesia and Scott is not back.

7.48 K/9

6.18 BB/9

5.32 xFIP

It's so important that we get these starters out by the 5th inning, even if we can't score many runs. The bullpen is their one major vulnerability.

Cito Gaston never got recognition for being a good manager by writers. Dave Roberts and Dusty Baker have always said he did a great job in 1992-3

The Jays did hire him back for a 2nd tenure lol

Yeah

Gotta minimize any 1 pitch outs off Snell

Don't let him off easy.  Rack up the pitch count early if possible.

Sadly we do have a prior commitment, I'll be recording the game and doing my best to avoid all possible spoilers. I'll probably get back around the 6th inning is my guess.

what could a person possibly be committed to after 8pm?  That is ridiculous.

Best friends of ours we haven't seen each other in a few weeks after a scary hospital visit so we planned a Halloween event for everyone and the kids to get their minds off things.  They aren't Jays fans so it is what it is but sometimes you got put others before yourself.

Our local hockey team, the Soo Greyhounds, moved their game ahead by an hour so people won't miss the Jays game after! You know Blue Jays fever has taken hold everywhere when hockey games are moved in one of the nation's top hockey cities.
