Lets Fking Go Blue Jays.

Make it a Dodgers je.png

Not that anyone really cares and as cool at this looks, it kind of confirms AI.  The D is literally embedded on his featers/fur there's no left edge of the jersey unless I'm missing something.

You don't think they dropped their balls enough making Trey the game 1 starter...? I mean there is only so much you can drop your balls before they get stuck in a crack in the pavement....

Oh it COULD backfire

But I'm also glad they're trying all this

Game 1 is critical for us

Super curious to see how he looks

Im rolling with him either way but I hope he can at least go 1st to 3rd or score from second etc ..

He couldn't do that before the injury

Is it game time yet?  Man, this wait is a killer. Seems like nobody is giving the Jays a chance, but I've learned to never doubt this team. LFG! Of course I can't wait to see Bo play, but I'm really interested to see how the manager incorporates Barger and Lukes into the game. Those are two good hitters who can come in during key spots and do damage against bullpen righties.

I like having Straw in the lineup. He's been solid all season and it leaves Barger and Lukes for select pinch hit opportunities against a bullpen that doesn't have their top 2 lefties.

The big thing I think for the Jays is not striking out. Snell gives up a ton of ground balls, but ground balls at least have a chance of squeaking through, expecially on the fast skydome turf. But perhaps most importantly is forcing someone other than Snell or Sasaki to pitch, and doing damage when they do.

I think we will do some damage against Sasaki in this series. The velocity is impressive, but he still isn't striking anyone out.

I don't see any scenario in which Varsho and Giminez don't play. Those are your everyday guys regardless of pitcher.

You are correct sir.

I agree. We should see him twice.  Would be great to beat him both times.

he can also make you look foolish, 100 fastball and secondaries in the 80's.  He lacks experience though

Rodríguez did not make the roster due to poor appearances neither did Nance. But Little who throws in the dirt 2 out of 3 pitches still makes the roster ??

ohtani, freeman and muncy that's why

I don't think Springer staying at DH has anything to do with the knee. I think he's got some other injury (likely in the arm) and they don't want him having to throw the ball.

Arden Zwelling

@ArdenZwelling

Blue Jays GM Ross Atkins says Ty France "has gotten back to an incredible position physically. He's looked really good in all of his live at-bats. And he's a good matchup against this team.”

Ty France is an absolute unit physically for someone under 6 feet tall. but for some reason though he still swings a pool noodle with a 71 for his average swing speed.

Quirky numbers for him on defense, 96th percentile range for a 1B. 1st percentile arm.

Left hand pitches do not scare those three.

Of course not, but if you look at Ohtani, he's merely excellent against LHP (130wrc+) vs top tier superstar against RHP (wrc+ 168). Strikes out more, walks less, SLG is over 100 points lower.

Freeman - career-wise 120 wrc+ against LHP vs 151 against RHP.

Muncy - 113 vs LHP, 130 vs RHP.

I'd take those margins everytime. Muncy has been especially dogsh*t against LHP this season though with a 59 wRC+, 159 vs RHP.

Given how the Jays seem to be giving guys different looks this offseason, they might be using different guys in big spots against Ohtani ... first time might be Little, second time might be Fluharty, 3rd time might be Lauer. then Fluharty again, then Lauer and back to Little... something like that. Trying to make sure he gets different looks as often as possible.

Feels like Varland is gonna get a shot too given they seem to like using him in every game of the postseason. Seranthony probably matches up more towards the Teoscar part of the lineup.

Let’s say a thanks to Springer for giving us this chance. We were down and out and this dude just did it. Saw interview with his dad and sister. Such a lovely family. This Jays team just so many nice guys and love them!  Let’s have fun tonight!

Our local hockey team, the Soo Greyhounds, moved their game ahead by an hour so people won't miss the Jays game after! You know Blue Jays fever has taken hold everywhere when hockey games are moved in one of the nation's top hockey cities.

Like the TML of Toronto, moved up tomorrow to a 5PM start in the NHL. lol
