Yeah putting aside what Bo at 2B could do for the World Series, it does indicate that there might be a path to a reunion. No chance a team that put IKF on the field for 4 straight ALCS games when trailing the series is going to value Bichette as a SS on the FA market. At 2B, assuming he's decent there, it's a different story. I've said before I don't think the Bo FA market is going to be all that robust. Be patient, let him test the market, and then bring him back if it makes sense and he's willing to play 2B.

But cross that bridge when you get there. First let's see if he's healthy enough to play 2B adequately. That changes the potential of the lineup significantly.

My game 1 lineup vs Snell would be

Springer DH

Schneider LF

Guerrero 1B

Bichette SS

Kirk C

Varsho CF

Clement 3B

Gimenez 2B

Straw RF

Solid lineup but really hope to see Bo at ideally 2B or DH.  Gimenez's defense at SS has been amazing.

I get that long term it would be ideal for Bichette to be a 2nd baseman, but can we really start him at 2nd base in the World Series when he has never played a game at 2nd base in his major league career? That would seem a little crazy wouldn't it?

It seems insane to me.

There's a ton of questions.

Is he a slam-dunk to make the roster?  Can he play defense at all? How much will his already poor range be diminished by a bum knee? If he DH's how is Springers knee?  Does Springer hurt you less in the outfield than Bichette does in the infield?  If Springer plays the field how much does it hurt his bat?

Maybe he's just a bench player?  Who knows?

Interesting. Shows Springer prob not 100% so can't play OF, and there's no way that they can't have Gimenez at SS.

I don't think Springer has been healthy since well before getting hit on the knee. I'm not sure what the issue is, but there's been many times down the stretch where it would have made more sense for him to be in the field and he has barely played there. Otherwise Bo at DH and Springer in RF would feel like a no-brainer yet it seems like it's not even being considered.

Alex Vesia on leave for a “personal family matter”

This is a huge blow for the Dodgers

No idea what is going on but it must be significant to leave during the World Series.  Whatever it is, my thoughts are with him and his family.

It's the question of do you take the clear massive downgrade in D at SS or the risk of him at 2B for the first time?  I'd be willing to take the risk.

Who do we think are throwing out first pitches?

Carter is obvious but does he get game 1 or save him for a potential game 6?

Borders and Molitor as two others as the World Series MVPs?

Many options for the last one:  Devo, Henke, Olerud, Sprague, Guzman, Ward, Gruber among them

My guess:

Game 1 - Carter

2 - Borders

6 - Molitor

7 - Guzman or Ward

Edit:  I forgot Cito...he's definitely throwing one of them

This is similar to the Aaron Loup situation a few years ago. Hopefully the result is the same with a healthy child.

Ive been saying put him at 2B since the first game I saw him at SS so beat that!! Lol

Anyways, transitioning from SS to 2B is very easy as long as hes healthy enough to move around.  2B is for players who arent good enough to play SS anyways lol.

Blue Jays' Bichette takes ground balls at 2B ahead of World Series

Don't forget this if this blows up in their face.  If the Jays do this, it comes with a pretty big risk.

No love for Olerud?

Sucks about Alomar because he'd definitely be there.
