Asking a Blue Jays pitcher to not serve up any meatballs seems impossible these days but if you can avoid doing that, they will have to string together good at bats and they're not built to do that. 

I don't suspect we're going to get much of anything off Skenes so we might be able to win this game late as long as Gausman doesn't f*** us.

Will be fun to watch Skenes even if Toronto gets dominated

He gave up 4 ER in two of his last three starts, so maybe he is tiring a bit

The Jays have a good opportunity to essentially put the division away with these next three series:

• @ Pirates
• @ Miami (cooled off considerably)
• vs. Twins

Meanwhile, the Yankees and Red Sox have a 4 game series coming up.

Rowdy dominated us over 2ip with 5 hits and 3 earned runs. And we still managed to win.

Both "champing" or "chomping" at the bit are acceptable to use.  In fact "champing" is the original usage of the term.
