Tigers have lost 12 of their last 13 games and still have a 7.5 game division lead. Literally insane how bad that division is.  It has to make it hard for the Twins, Indians, and Royals to sell knowing how bad the Tigers actually are.

Gasman and Bo, players of the game.

Absolutely.  That PA by Bo helped get Skubal out of the game.

This team is something!

That was an incredible at-bat by Bo today and it looks like Vladdy might finally be heating up.

Let's gooooo!

My gosh this is fun! Keep the foot on the gas Jays and keep the momentum going. A pair of good deadline trades could take this team to the freaking moon!!!!

Everyone who defended the organization, Shapiro, or Atkins at all in the last 12+ months gets to take such a huge victory lap. Ceaseless t-bag victory lap.

Hey hey... let's not ruin the great morale on the board with this :)

Spanky and I should never have to pay for a meal at Swiss Chalet again with all the apologies in the forms of gift cards we have coming our way

100%.  There were definitely a few others on team positivity that deserve a chicken and half rack combo.

Gausman reminds me a little bit of RA Dickey. If he's got his pitch cooking early he can really have a dominant start.

His Blue Jays career has been a lot better than Dickey's though.

Vlad's wRC+ up to 140 and his defence this season has been improved from the last couple years.

Too bad he's still a knucklehead on the bases!

By the second and third time through the lineup they were starting to get better at bats against Skubby Doo.

If we do have to go through them in the postseason, it's good to have this one game to have actually seen him.

Until yesterday he was a mythological creature that we've only heard about for the past couple years but haven't faced. Now they know what it looks like to stand in the box against him and they know they can get to him.

I had a good feeling heading into this game that the Jays would at least be able to run up Skubal's pitch count and get into the Tigers pen. Bo had a huge at bat to run up his pitch count, and if it weren't for a few unfortunate baserunning mistakes the Jays may have piled up some runs against a really dominant arm in a game where he had great stuff. This bodes really well for the playoffs when the pitching tightens up.

I certainly wouldn't have guessed that Gausman would have outpitched MLB's best starter, and if he can keep something approximating his last few starts up for the rest of the season that would be massive.

Yeah unfortunately Vlad has terrible instincts on the bases so the occasional baserunning blunder is par for the course. Despite the lower power output he's been quietly having a really good season. It took him a few weeks to hit his first home run this season, and his overall numbers from that point to present are really damn good. He's been playing at a 5+ win pace since the middle of April and that's without him ever fully locking in the power stroke at the plate.
