In hindsight but if they didn't rush Snider from A ball to MLB when he was just 20, I think he would have developed into a beast but they royally screwed with his head.

I never believed in that narrative. I've heard that excuse with a lot of failed prospects. Cream rises eventually. If he was that good he would have eventually been that good. He just wasn't that good. Most prospects just aren't.

This Blue Jays squad has been making life miserable for a lot of high shelf starters recently so hopefully they can at least get Skubal's pitch count up to get him out of the game a little sooner.

SSS, but Schneider's OBP against lefties is over .400 now, like him leading off over Clement.

Schneider is definitely a better lead off option against LHP. He can work the count and since he's being lifted for Lukes as soon as a righty comes in anyway, it makes the lineup more logical. Pedro Martinez in his prime could come into the game in relief and Clement would still bat for himself, so it doesn't make sense to have him lead off if he's not going to get pinch hit for later.

That might force a doubleheader for tomorrow which would not be a good thing. At best it would push back the Skubal matchup a day so just prolonging the inevitable.

Doubleheader would be awful given we alredy have one against Baltimore in afew days.

Yeah, I can't see a DH tomorrow if we're rained out today with a scheduled DH on Tuesday. 

A single game make up could be possible on Monday September 22.
