If DeJong were an established starting caliber player I would agree, but no chance I’d give this much rope to a role/bench player when he’s been as bad as he has been. Schneider had like 2 bad games and never played again. I just don’t see the logic here but clearly they want defense even if it negatively impacts the offense so they are doubling down on it.

Is there evidence to suggest the Jays didn't want Dante back? If I recall correctly, he terminated his agreement with the Jays during the strike/lockout so he was allowed to continue working with his son (and other players). I never saw anything on why he didn't sign back on when that ended...

There was a report that came out about Bo’s childhood and his supposed abuse from Dante. Bo never responded and I never saw anything again.

 

I was surprised that there was even any mention because Bo was working with him during strike etc.

 

All I know, is that everyone was hitting better when Dante was with team, whether he was responsible or not, who knows.

But it cant be any worse.
