  1. Really??? Dont you think if he had someone better he would have him up.
  2. So am I, and I guarantee I couldnt do worse than that mess today.
  3. Someone please tell me why Schneider is leaning on the fence, instead of doing something.
  4. Whether you call it risp or offense, it is the same problem that has plagued them for years. They went after Schwarber and Soto to no avail. We have a large payroll , but the powers that be decided they were going to make this team into a defensive juggernaut. But they have mostly ignored the offensive side. I know this team has been decimated by injuries, but they have lost 8 games by one run. How many times have the bases been loaded with no one out and scored nothing. You can only play with the players you have, but try changing the line up. At this point I would rather have Valenzuela or Panango up trying to drive in runs, than Vladdy. I like Vladdy, but if anyone else was 0/19 they would have been moved down. Springer is injured and I doubt anyone here thought he was going to produce like last year. He just shouldnt be batting leadoff right now. Who should be, I dont know. But you cannot keep doing the same thing and exoecting different results.
  5. It is not the losses, it is how they are losing. Poor managerial decisions with Hoffman. Poor execution by Ernie trying to do too much. Errors by Vladdy and his total ineptitude at the plate. I was listening on radio and even I knew how they were going to pitch him. As each inning went by with no hitting or scoring, we all knew what was going to happen. We have seen it constantly this year. for about five years now, this team has needed offense, and they never do anything about it, and the offense they did get is either injured, or getting old. maybe instead of always trying to get the very best available and always being disappointed, maybe we could try a new direction. Doesnt do any good to go and get Cease and then score no runs for him. last year at about the same time, I remember saying this team is so bad even I cant watch anymore. I kept watching, but I am not sure that getting all our players back will make a difference. Hope I am wrong.
  6. The Jays record in April last hear was 11/14, and unless I have forgotten they didnt have the injuries they have this year. Relax
  7. I didn t think Bo wanted to be with T.O any longer. If you watched him in the dugout the last two years, he always seemed to be alone. Never quite part of the group. just my opinion, and I havent turned on him, but if you compare losing Halladay with losing Bo, there is no comparison. i wish him luck, but he chose the Mets, not the Jays.
  8. So go and get Bellinger.
  9. Merry Christmas everyone. Wishing you all a safe holiday with family and friends. Then signing Bo and another bat for our stockings SOON.
  10. Tragic is the right word. I find it incredibly sad for a young man to have such a promising future, and it all goes so wrong so quickly. I really hope he can turn it around, get healthy and live his dream.
  11. There are numerous degrees of grief and losing that series has triggered them all in different ways for different fans. I can think of numerous stupid things that caused it, but time for me to look back at the incredible run that our Jays were on. I am old and if it takes another 30 years, I wont see it. But numerous new fans have fallen in love with the Jays. Rogers has stepped up and seen what money and a good team can do for their ratings. Records were set by the most unlikely players. The baseball was terrific and the Jays didn't job the system with deferred salary to achieve their win. Most of the experts have weighed in with “the best world series ever” and our team should have won. We were the best and unfortunately this time it didnt happen. But think of how as fans we felt last off season coming from last place to this one, filled with excitement and surety that 2026 will be our year. Enjoy all the good things that baseball brings.
