Dude has broke the f*** out it seems, it's only a month but he had good prospect pedigree. I've enjoyed following him since I had a chance to snipe you, haha!!!

Used to play for Phillies, well regarded. Had mental health issues and left the game, but back now with the Chisox

One can argue that no one in baseball is living up to their name more than Colin Holderman, currently leading MLB with nine holds.

Is Alex Kirilloff ever going to hit? Is he the next Travis Snider?

He’s raked in the upper minors and the projections believe in him for what it’s worth. But lots of injuries and the performance hasn’t translated at the MLB level. Still only 25, time for him to figure it out.

The Yankees Roster Resource page is looking UGLY: https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/depth-charts/yankees

Willie Calhoun batting 6th as the DH. Jake Bauers is listed as a starter. Judge is regressing to the mean and just got nicked up. 1-4 of the rotation looks mediocre.

Of all their injured players only Bader's return is imminent. Stanton and Severino should be back around the end of the month. Rodon some time after that?

They'll need to tread water the month of May and then get the injury situation shored up. But some of their hurt guys could have setbacks (Stanton as well the pitchers) or they could get some additional injuries on top of the ones they've already got.

EDIT: Sorry I meant 2-5 of the rotation is looking mediocre.

Brian Cashman is like 0-for-100 in trades/signings over the past 12-18 months. He basically went into this season doing nothing with their offense aside from incorporating Volpe into the lineup. He added no depth, stuck with sunk cost like Hicks/Donaldson instead of upgrading the margins, and practically every pitchers he's acquired over that span has gotten hurt. I think the Yankees will be fine once (or if) they get healthy, but with the Orioles being good now, I'm not sure they have much room for error. Thankfully for the Jays, the Steinbrenner kids are big believers in cronyism, so Cashman probably has this same job until he's 73.

Agreed but even IF they get everyone mostly healthy they still might not be that amazing. Could be a 90ish win team with everyone relatively healthy. With the lack of depth, any injury issues could really tank them into being a sub .500 team.

Mariners To Outright Diego Castillo

With that outright, Castillo is no longer on the 40-man roster. He has the three years of service time needed to reject the assignment in favor of free agency, but he doesn’t yet have five years of service, so rejecting the assignment would mean forfeiting the remainder of this year’s $2.95MM salary. As such, he’s sure to accept an assignment to Tacoma and remain with the organization.

Is this so cut and dry? He's been bad so far this year (in only 8.2), but he's been a pretty cromulent reliever the last few years. No team's going to pay more than $3M?

I was really hoping Judge left he would have cratered that franchise for a decade.

Sean Murphy is sitting for the 3rd time in 6 games. AA must not be super thrilled with Snit’s handling of his big offseason addition.

d'Arnaud is better tho

lol

I'm allowed to chirp you, Murphy owner

The chirp was like a weak chin, Jim. You lead in chin first and down he goes, Murphy is far better.

One of my friends predicted Boston would finish with more wins than the Yankees this season and I kind of shrugged it off and laughed. He might be right.

Red Sox look like they all of a sudden have an exciting lineup, but their pitching looks horrible. Latter trend will have to change for them to actually be good.

Yankees with an ugly loss tonight too. Blew a 2-0 lead in the 9th.
