Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 i think you could add Cleveland to that list as well. They have Bo Naylor, doubt they'd have interest.
wamco Verified Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 (edited) I don’t see a match with Houston or minnesota unless a swap of hunter brown (28) for Jansen (27) could happen with Astros Brewers line up for Jansen (27) for frelick (cf 55 future value (23) and a sp ( gasser/small ) (3) https://www.mlb.com/prospects/brewers/sal-frelick-686217 https://www.mlb.com/prospects/brewers/robert-gasser-688107 https://www.mlb.com/prospects/brewers/ethan-small-663629 Edited November 4, 2022 by wamco

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Jays aren't trading for futures, they want immediate help, now!

wamco Verified Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Cubs have their top 3 prospects per mlb.com as OF with values approaching Jansen (27). (26.5, 25, 19) all with 55 FV. For fun throw Simeon woods Richardson back in (5).
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 As opposed to immediate help... later? Shaddup!
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Why the f*** would the Cubs be trading for Jano???

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 It's like a new Yankees tradition Manage them to the ALCS and lose. Get fired.

bendera3 Verified Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Tampa? I could actually see that. They are competing and Jano won't be super expensive.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 The advanced teams would cream their pants for Danny Jansen. Do you guys understand how bullish his 2022 statline is? He upped his barrel rate to 13.1% Career best hard hit rate And somehow dropped his whiff rate and K rate, the K rate to a career low while maintaining his .250 ISO from 2021 Normally when guys decide to pull for power they strikeout more because they have to get the bat out earlier. Not Danny...

Not Danny... Also entering his prime years. The numbers increase could be legit

Not Danny... On any other good team, Jansen is an extension candidate right now. That's why I fear what the Jays are going to get in return for him. Only two years of control left and some injury history may hurt his value a bit. Other teams are probably salivating to get him at a cost lower than what his upside/value really is, so hopefully Atkins can hold firm and get a good deal if he is in fact the one moved.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 I believe the best of Danny Jansen is still to come. And all the stats and analytics posted above illustrates that perfectly.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Not sure if this was posted elsewhere but this tweet spawned a lot of Kirk for Nootbar or Nolan Gorman talk on twitter today. Seems like most Cardinals fans think they are getting the short end of the stick on a trade like that. Can't say I agree with them though.

If Danny Jansen was a Dodger and they had three catchers the entire board would s*** their pants if Atkins traded for him.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 No interest in Kirk for either of those outfielders on their own. Would rather keep the three headed monster.
