Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Also the Raptors don't have the embarrassment of being the first team eliminated, if nothing else. That dishonour goes to Simmons' Nets.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Come on Raptors, just two more games of this. This is exactly what I've been expecting all series. The Raptors can contain Embiid (I'm now 3-1 on betting under his game point totals and only lost the OT game). It was Maxey and Harris that were killing them. Having FVV out might be a blessing in disguise despite him usually being the rock to lean on. It's really something even if they go out next game. They're basically playing without a point guard, and it's working!
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Yeah what a dumpster fire of a season for NJ. Imagine Nash falls on the sword. Yikes. Raps are a fun casual team to root for. I hope they advance but doesn’t look likely. I’ll root for Bos this year, Tor next
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 If the Raptors could have squeezed out a win in Game 3, they would be up 3-2 heading back to T.O. for Game 6! Overall, they have played very well and with grit the past three games. Philly the last two games haven't been able to close in. If there is a team that could choke from being up 3-0, it's the Sixers lol.

You don't need a playmaker if all you need is 90 points to win the game. It's all about containing the 76ers' offense which the Raptors have been shown to do multiple times this year. The whistles and the couple of highlight reel plays Embiid put up really put the focus on him. He's been far from MVP caliber performance this series. The OT game and that's it. Now the Raptors have seemed to figure out the secondary options or they just disappeared voluntarily either by themselves or under the genius of Doc Rivers. Harden of course is invisible as expected. 76ers Twitter is already s***ing themselves because they see it too. Raptors could win the next two games by 20 points and it should shock absolutely no one.

Him being out of the playoffs first is already the championship win some fans needed.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 May I ask who this giant woman is? Her jaw is the size of Grange's head?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Can the Raps win Game 6 tomorrow?
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Can the Raps win Game 6 tomorrow? Sure.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Seriously. Who's that Giant woman?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 28, 2022 Posted April 28, 2022 Can the Raps win Game 6 tomorrow? Yes. They 'can'. Will they? Who knows
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Well, it ended up being a pretty good series.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 Well, it ended up being a pretty good series. That game 3 finish is going to haunt me and Precious.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 That game 3 finish is going to haunt me and Precious. If they won Game 3, they would have been the ones in position to clinch for Game 6. That Game 3 definitely would have changed things, but overall glad the Raps fought back and played hard rather than losing the series 4-0. I knew it was going to be tough to make it past the first round given the Raps being a young team, but hopefully this offseason they make 1 or 2 solid additions and could build off a successful 2021/2022 season.

I dont know the cap rules of the NBA that well, but given the youth on their roster, they should have a decent amount of space for additions right? LIke, whether it's via trade or FA?
glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 29, 2022 Posted April 29, 2022 They won 2 games, and should have won 3 games, against a better team in a year they should have been rebuilding. It was definitely a great season overall.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2022 Posted April 30, 2022 Wow. Pascal may have taken Embiid out of the playoffs. I don’t cheer for injuries but not a Philly fan, so I won’t shed tears.

Yeah even with Embiid, was going to be tough for the Sixers to beat the Heat. I don't wish injuries upon anyone, but Embiid shouldn't have taunted the Raps like that in Game 6 especially after being up by a large margin. Just play the game respecting your opponents and maybe Pascal or other Raptors don't go as hard at him in the last quarter like that. Regardless, Heat in 4 or 5 games.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 2, 2022 Posted May 2, 2022 Embiid's a piece of s*** and karma's a bitch. So are elbows to the face. Yeah. I'd feel a little more sorry for him if he didn't level half our team with the exact same kind of elbows. Still, having a star player out during the playoffs sucks for the game.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Was thinking I missed Game 3 of Boston/NJ but hasn’t happened. How do you have a game Tues and not again until Sat. NBA playoffs are stupid. 2 days max to switch cities imo. In this case it’s like 150 miles lol
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 As much as we complained about fouls, the refs in this Bos / Mil game must have dinner plans.

Doc Rivers has the brains of a stool pile, serves him right for leaving your star in the game up by 20+ points with a few minutes to go. With the amount of time that was left in the game + holding the lead Philly had teams were 6000-0 in the history of the NBA. Philthydelphia is one of the biggest dumps in the US and the people from there are d-bags. In true Philthy lying form they listed Embiid as doubtful for game 3 then there he was starting.

Only lazy minded fools that can't think for themselves use stereotypes and label a group of people as all the same, you dope. The people running the sixers are not from Philly, Darryl morey is from Wisconsin, Josh Harris from Maryland and doc rivers from Chicago so I guess all people from those places are liars?

I'm not sure about their penchant for lying but Chicago is one of the biggest hell holes on Earth 50 people get shot there every weekend. The mayor is sure as hell a liar
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Did anyone ever do research where those guys throwing snowballs at Santa Claus came from? If they were locals or not?
