Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Matisse Thybulle's ineligible to play in our home game's, nice. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article/76ers-thybulle-ineligible-to-play-road-games-against-raptors-in-playoffs/ This guy’s an even dumber f*** than Kyrie. If you aren’t getting vaccinated, at least stick to your idiot morals and don’r get any shots. This dumbf*** is willing to get one shot, but not boosters? At the expense of playing in the playoffs? f***ing idiot loser.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 This Clippers and Timberwolves game has a bit of everything. First a fan tries to superglue themselves to the playing surface. Now the ref calls a double technical, realizes one of the players already had one, and changed it to just a technical on the other player (which was Beverley, and he deserved it, but still).

That woman was cray-cray! So the Nets and Wolves play the Grizzlies and Celtics, correct? And the remaining teams are playing to face the 1 seed? Edited April 13, 2022 by Spanky99

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Soem lady chained herself to the basket for the same cause. The liberal media couldn’t help themselves in their wokeness from revealing their cause. Really shouldn’t give those people a victory to encourage it

Now everyone is hurt and the Raps certainly appear to be f***ed. This might be a win for Shaq unfortunately.

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 The NBA will never allow the Raptors to win another championship
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 They need to foul Embiid hard. Hate to say it, but he's going to get calls regardless. Make him feel it.

Meh, there's no player on the Raptors going to get any calls unless they get shot in the open court with how the NBA refs call games in the playoffs regarding young players vs vets. May as well just play it out, take the L and come back next year.

If Ibaka was still on the team then it would have been him, but I don't see anyone on the current team who would foul Embiid hard to send a message. Gonna be hard to win a game without Barnes, much less Barnes and Trent (and Thad).

It definitely hurts, but we basically played last game without Trent anyway who was probably hurting us out there trying to play through whatever it was. I'd like to see us come out with Precious and Boucher in the starting lineup and see if we can counter some of the rebounding. That's what killed us last game.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2022 Posted April 18, 2022 Someone needs to step in and take some charges.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Refs are very clearly rewarding aggressiveness above all else. We need more double teams (which they've started to do) and hard drives ourselves. The last few possessions were pretty good.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Whelp. Not going to win if you don't make shots.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2022 Posted April 19, 2022 Predicted Raps would get there butts handed to them against Philly. Raps will be lucky to win one game.

They are basically 7 deep when everyone is healthy. Now Barnes is out and Trent is sick. I don't think they could afford to lose anyone, but Barnes is probably the 2nd best player on the team already behind Siakam, so not having him is basically the end of whatever run you thought the team could have had this post season. I had them losing in 6 before the injuries, which would have been a great showing IMO, but now it's either a straight sweep or gentleman's sweep. I like the team's starting 5, and Precious looks like a potential core player as well, but Masai/Webster haven't even tried to improve the bench in 3 years, and you are seeing that this season. Hopefully that's an area they look at in the summer, in addition to whatever bigger plans they have.

I wouldn't write them off yet. The Raps have looked terrible in certain road buildings before and turned things around. It sure would have been nice to take one on the road, but whether we lost the way we did or by 1 each game, the end result is the same. There's one thing about Nick Nurse. He isn't going to keep doing the same thing and hoping for a different result.

Hopefully that's an area they look at in the summer, in addition to whatever bigger plans they have. It's not really a depth thing. The Raptors have 7 good players, most teams are no deeper. Philadelphia is not deeper. Embiid and Maxey are going nuts right now and Toronto is banged up. Possible Toronto would be outclassed anyway because Embiid is a monster this year. I mean the 76ers have Harden playing third fiddle.... they are just better. Only way Toronto competes this series is if everyone is healthy AND a healthy FVV turns into Steph Curry for a few games. That's not gonna happen of course. I see no realistic path to them winning more than 2 games. Especially with Scotty down with a serious injury.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 Man, that sucked balls. Yeah, I don't like Precious in there in that situation. I don't know how the refs don't give the timeout there though at the end. I mean, they have to know it's being called.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2022 Posted April 21, 2022 I actually don’t like the Sixers, but doesn’t seem like Toronto has the dogs to win the fight with Barnes going down. Needed to fire on all cylinders. Nets are bordering on an epic s*** show. A couple years removed from being completely overloaded on paper to a barely playoff team, with 2 all-time greats. They’ll prob make a series of it though. Irving and Durant 1-17 today in the second half, woof
