connorp Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Have to deal going against DeRozan in fantasy for this long matchup. Dude is out of his mind this season. Guess Toronto just wasn’t right place for him
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Dude's trollin' ^^^^ Must be. DeRozan has always put up points and this season is just a slight bit better than his best with Toronto. He's still a pure volume scorer that relies on FG% to be effective, and this year his FG% is way above is career rates as is his 3pt %. Whether those are indicitive of a real change or just a sustained hot streak is the real question

Yeah he’s taking a few more shots this year but his FG% has been solid for a good stretch now. Rebounding and assists clearly up from Tor days. Dude is a legit star player. Yeah Tor got a title, but East has been crap shoot every year.

Its possible he's a better player now, but my only objection is the "now that he's gone from Toronto ..." part that seems to say that he's better because he left and Toronto somehow was preventing him from succeeding. He's been gone for 4 years, and just getting better in his 4th. He was still the same old guy or worse in San Antonio for 3 years.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted February 26, 2022 Posted February 26, 2022 I don't think you can win with DeRozan as your #1 guy.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 I don't think you can win with DeRozan as your #1 guy. I know the Raps would never have won with him…maybe Chicago can if his changes are for real, the supporting cast is good enough and they have enough real depth. Toronto had some good pieces as secondary options but true depth was always missing.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2022 Posted February 27, 2022 If there is one team in the top 4 slots I'm picking for the Raptors to upset in the first round, I'm 100% picking the Bulls hands down.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Nice Raps, big wins... Barnes showing up.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 2, 2022 Posted March 2, 2022 Nice Raps, big wins... Barnes showing up. Very big wins. Getting that 6th spot would be huge.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Very big wins. Getting that 6th spot would be huge. Where's Devlin been? Siakim and Barnes have hit the floor hard man.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Some of these calls are complete BS.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Apparently Boucher has a Spiderman pose lol.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 5, 2022 Posted March 5, 2022 This is just embarrassing against these two teams on back to back nights.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Man, there's a lot of contact going on in this game (both teams).
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 What type of ceiling do you guys think Scottie Barnes has?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 What type of ceiling do you guys think Scottie Barnes has? Shawn Marion
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Shawn Marion Interesting - I like it. Although it might be Shawn Marion with passing skills...which is essentially - Kevin Garnett? I feel dirty even writing that - but that might be his ceiling...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 What a game... Raptors come up big, against the best team in the league on the road, nicely done.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 What a game... Raptors come up big, against the best team in the league on the road, nicely done. Great game. Then I switched over to WWE for some reason, just in time to see Big E get dropped right on his head. Looked like he was knocked out cold. Definitely NOT part of the script.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Who's Big E? I'm not sure his real name. He's been around for quite a while. Various places, including ESPN, are saying he broke his neck but isn't paralyzed.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Yeah this makes up for last week's shameful debacle. Lakers games coming up they will still be without Davis. Clippers are a walking corpse. I can concede tomorrow's game if the Raptors win at least two of the next three against the LA teams. Two tough road games against the 76ers and Bulls but after that they have a reasonably easy schedule with most games at home. I stated at the start of the year 45 wins for this team and that number is looking like the most likely outcome. 9-7 the rest of the way. I don't know what to make of Trent. He seems to go off at totally random intervals all year then is invisible for the next 5-10 games.

I know who he is, just didn't know his name off the top of my head. https://www.si.com/wrestling/2022/03/12/big-e-breaks-neck-wwe-smackdown This link was updated, he's in good spirits for a guy that broke his neck, lol. Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I don't want to jinx us, but I think someone forgot to tell the Lakers they were playing tonight.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Tough loss... ughh. I definitely want to see the 2 min report tomorrow. Great game though.
