  1. Agree Pomeranz is a great add, love the deal for the Sox. It'd be nice to see the Jays make a similar, under the radar trade.
  2. How is Joc Pederson so high? I get that it's supposed to be quantitative but falls short of actual value I think. Giolito could easily fall far from that list shortly. It's just such a volatile list that I'm not sure it's even worthy of a thread! But in all seriousness, the main point is that it's a very general snapshot of trade value. For those who like accounting it's a balance sheet and not an income statement. Not sure we should be reading into it at all.
  3. lol sounds about right. It's been frustrating
  4. Eovaldi looked pretty good. Gotta tip your hat when the opposing pitcher beats you.
  5. It just goes to show how poor the fan base in TB is. The heckler was easily heard and was the only loud person in the stadium. There are 100+ people like him at most ballparks but in TB he becomes a celebrity.
  6. Not sure if you get banned, but you certainly get attacked. This is what happens when people think they know more than they do, and that's okay.
  7. Well that was a tough game, hopefully the Jays there had a great time together. To be honest I hope they took in the atmosphere and were able to sit back and have a few beers. They deserve it.
  8. Exactly I don't see the problem he is throwing a pitch that gets groundballs who cares
  9. To be totally honest I'm worried they brought Shapiro in so that he can cut costs and find great bargain pitchers like Brandon Morrow. Let's hope the budget doesn't shrink in the next few years too much, it did seem pretty odd that AA left the way he did.
  10. What is this thread supposed to be?
  11. so you guys just made up some numbers based on age and think Bautista provides the same value as Reddick over the next few years? I respectfully disagree and think that's a horrible idea...
  12. Naw, I think you're struggling to evaluate how players are getting paid and are comparing apples and oranges. Samardzija has the best pedigree out of all of those pitchers and was a lot more highly sought after than Reddick is going to be. I'm not here to argue I just think it's hilarious how you suggested Reddick could get 100 million and then you backtracked and admitted that you might be stretching the truth. Just admit you were exaggerating and we move forward!
  13. lol there's no chance he gets 100 m even with a really great season
  14. Pillar is a really bad hitter IMO and that's been the biggest problem since he's leading off. Colabello could be decent and nobody is expecting anything from Goins.
  15. Pretty bad matchups for the Jays, hopefully the O comes alive.
  16. That's exactly what they should be doing I agree. I'd like to see Tulo get going a bit before gifting him a crucial RBI spot based on his name.
  17. What is the board opinion on who should lead off currently? I think there are 2 good options: Let Donaldson leadoff and move everyone up one spot and Pillar can hit 8th or 9th, or you give Saunders a look which would be interesting. He's always seemed to have a nice approach at the plate and seems to still have decent foot speed.
  18. lol well did he just threw some arbitrary number or does he have some idea about how much Jays TV rights are currently worth? It's an interesting topic
  19. Based on what? Honest question
  20. I think it's a great list, obviously nobody is going to agree exactly with the order but it's a pretty good representation. Nobody is ranked WAY outside of where they should be on any good list.
  21. I think you're too low on Ed Rodriguez and I actually think Severino could be a bit higher. But, that's not the point of the list. Somewhere below Norris but above guys like Archie Bradley, maybe in the Heaney range. I think Heaney has a much higher floor but clearly less upside. But it's only 1 start lol
  22. No the pussification was about the western world in general and had nothing to do with baseball so I apologize for that. To be honest I still think it's a hard play to overturn and also rule a double play. If this is the case I think we'll see plenty of these slides overturned this year or else maybe the MLB has it out for the Blue Jays, where is grant77 to support this?
