So the plan from here seems fairly straight forward to me.

  • Immediately: Demote Little to the 9th circle of hell and then throw away whatever key was used to open up that portal so he can never return.
  • Before tomorrow's game: Call up Macko
  • Before Monday's game: Option Macko and reinstate Bieber
  • Monday on: We ride

Has it been 15 days since they demoted Macko? Otherwise they can't call him up.

That's part of the problem with a bullpen constantly under siege and constantly having to move people up and down.

And I don't think anyone is really freaking out much (at least not much more than usual) except for you freaking out about people freaking out.

It was a bad game that set back the depth of our bullpen, what happened today can have a domino effect going forward on an already overused pen.

The decision to call up Little was indefensible, if there's one thing people have the right to freak out over it's ridiculous moves that make no f***ing sense in any way shape or form. Might as well have picked someone out of the crowd, signed them to a contract and sent them to the bullpen. What the f*** was Little doing here?

Games like today happen, we all get that, it still sucks and the timing still sucks.

It's bull s*** that the cubs get to have teams come to their park and play friday day games which we aren't as accustomed to in that rat infested ivy abomination.  Would not be surprised if some of the guys get hantavirus.  What's the point of being a multimillionaire athlete if you are spending that much of your time in worse conditions than homeless people?

Why do they play day games every friday

Why is everyone losing their damn minds?

Yeah, calling up Little and demoting a long man sure was a bad time for Kevin Gausman to completely crap the bed, but is it really THAT big of a deal??

We got through the game while using mostly the B-team relievers (Hoff, Varland and Flu all got rest) and we can just option Little for Macko to get a fresh arm for tomorrow. It's not like Little lost us the game. In fact, he confirmed he still has the yips and it was a good time for us to find that out.

But all that aside, it's frigging baseball, these games happen. Back at it tomorrow.

Came here to say almast exactly this, but i'd have used far more insults and expletives

Every team in baseball gets nuked like 10-15 times every year. Easiest games in the world to just get over and move past.

Insane and just a reflection of our decaying society where we've lost all common sense and compassion for common people.

They want a certain number of day games, but that can be easily achieved without making the first game of a series a day game.  I think there is like a literal bylaw that Friday's must be day games.

However that is for the liberal semi-elite.  The 275k a year professors, the 600k a year currency traders who leave the jr trader in charge Friday afternoon.  The Neal Page's of the world not the Del Griffith's.

There is a reason why the White Sox are the team of the common people, and the cubs the team of the elites.

Comissioner should step in and make the Friday day games illegal, just make every first game of a series a night game, and the other ones day and you have enough day.   The yuppie scum can take Wednesday or Thursday afternoon off.

100% true.  I like Fenway because it really is a place for the common people.  Just look at the Scots that filled it last week.

But Wrigley is like a place for Bourgeois to go and pretend they are common people.  "Look at the Ivy deer.  I wonder if squirrels live there?  Should we get a beer?   No not an IPA lets get one of the beers the simple people like, what do they call it?  The Blue Ribbon or the Miller High Life".

Comiskey has always been for the working people, but Wrigley wasn't always for the Bourgeois, back in the day it was for the unemployed bums.

When Reagan was president 85% of the world was working and the other 15% hung out at Wrigley.   It was a playground for unemployed drifters and undesirables who still thought it was the 60s.

"The dumb 15% that come out to day baseball"   lol

Are any of these stadiums really for common people any more, sure common people go but probably charge all the overpriced food and beer on a credit card and get in more debt they can't pay

because the city doesn't like night games on weekends.  City bylaws if you can believe that.

A stupid law? yes I can believe it

Shouldnt happen when your so-called ace is on the mound.Game was over 1st inning.

If Sanchez caught the fly ball that ticked off of his glove this entire game may have gone very differently.

Yeah.  You are probably right.

The Scottish that are hanging out in Boston for a couple of weeks, going to Red Sox games and downing 8 $12.00 beers a night in between World Cup matches probably aren't the Scottish version of common people.

But there are apparently a few thousand of them... lots of loaded people in the world I guess.

Or maybe they are just common people, and maxing their Scottish credit cards to the limit.
