Ross Atkins and John Schneider will ruin this team by staying overly loyal to vets. Valenzuela should be playing at least half the time and him not being in today's line up after yesterday's performance makes you wonder where the f*** management's brains are at. Springer continuing to lead off. When Satander is healthy, he'll be in the line up every day no matter what.

Gausaman didn't look good to start the inning, but play by Sanchez on right field made things exacerbated.

Not a chance, Macko was fine. 

I've said this a million times, we'll never win anything with Ross calling the shots. Got a lucky year last year after eleven seasons with a top five payroll. The only reason we got lucky was because of the injuries that allowed hungry players to perform.

Gausman has been fine all year. This is like his first blow up.

Who is saying he is the ace? He's still a good starter. He's already at 2.2 fWAR. I don't know where you expect to get a better starter than Gausman right now.

If Valenzuela maintains his current level of play throughout the season, then packaging Kirk and Sanchez is a no brainer while their value is seemingly high.

He says he’s an ace and so do the jays in interviews , 12 runs given up so far in the last 3 starts, yeah he’s great

Gausman has been terrible this June. 

In his last 3 of 4 starts, he gave up at least 4 runs.

Please explain.. You act like we'd be just giving them away. Kirk won't age well with his body frame and Sanchez is expendable. Have you seen Kirk throw the ball at all this year? It's definitely worth exploring in the off season imo.

Valenzuela is a mediocre minor league hitter in 8 seasons, 550 games.  Even 100 major league games of good performance wouldn't indicate he'll be that good moving forward.     It would be a risk counting on him to do this consistently as a full time player. 

Great backup.  When Springer is gone maybe Kirk transitions to DH more.  Be interesting to see a system where Kirk plays 60 games at catcher 90 at DH, and BV 100 at catcher.  

They didn't really commit to this with Kirk/Jansen though (signed Brandon Belt and Juston Turner to DH).
