Maybe they made up the dead arm thing Learn from the Dodgers. Just have the horses ready to go in September when it counts. Spanky__99, BatFlip and Terminator 3

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted yesterday at 02:07 PM Posted yesterday at 02:07 PM Lauer vs Soriano today, on paper it's a legit mismatch, yet anything can happen in a ballgame, lets make it 4 boys!

Daaaamn, Soriano has a 0.28 ERA in over 30 innings. Hopefully next time we face them we get Manoah lol. Spanky__99 1
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted yesterday at 03:00 PM Posted yesterday at 03:00 PM That's two good starts in a row for Corbin and I think we can excuse his first one since his only warm up was one start in Dunedin. Yesavage and Berrios are both close to returning and if everyone is healthy it will be interesting to see what they do. I'm not sure that Berrios, Scherzer, or Lauer are better than Corbin right now. max silver and Stangstag 2

First start wasn’t even that bad, i remember some terrible batted ball luck in the 1st before he gave up that homer. And a lot of deep counts which kept him from pitching longer

Laika Community Moderator Posted yesterday at 03:56 PM Posted yesterday at 03:56 PM How can Vlad be so good at SLIDING INTO HOME (elite poke last night and a dozen epic dives and decisions in his career) but so bad at ALL OTHER BASERUNNING DECISIONS AND THINGS ??? Terminator and max silver 2

It's downright remarkable. Worst combination of speed and decision making I've ever seen until he's on 2B and there's a single. Then he somehow turns into Rickey Henderson out there. Stop signs be damned, he's going for it and it works out almost every single time. That slide last night was a beauty. Barely slowed down at all while making it almost impossible to get a good tag on him.
RA Whiffleball Verified Member Posted yesterday at 04:06 PM Posted yesterday at 04:06 PM JS is a very lucky man. He has already cost us 2 games by doubling down on struggling relievers. It would have been a third, if it were not for the heroics of Varland. The ghosts of game 7 are definitely in Hoffman's head.

He loses something when he gets out at second admiring a ball off the right field wall. He loses something when he gets out at second when he hits it 115 mph, 14 launch angle off left field wall. Does he lose anything when he stays at first admiring a ball off the right field wall? Justifiable if so. Does he lose anything if he stays at first with 115 mph, 14 launch angle off left field wall? Like he made the right decision but system pings him a bit. Is there even anything fancy here, or could you just list baserunning outs and Vlad would have 10 a year or something and it's just based on that, not on any fancy 'should have got to second on that ball' adjustments.
