Probably not but he's a tough positional fit. One of Vlad/Springer/Okamoto likely needs to sit to insert him into the lineup and we shall see if the club is ready to make this type of move.

Jay Harry still on a heater, 4 hits and a walk today including a homer and a double. He also played shortstop.

I wonder if they will promote Jo Jo Parker soon. He has been absolutely killing it. A homer a double and two walks today.

Also three more hits including a double for Harry today.  He also played CF today after playing short the last two games. 
 

edit: what I really want is a scouting report on his defense. How good exactly is he at CF and SS. That will matter a lot,

I mentioned that we could see him this year and got tarred and feathered.   

Not sure what ihs innings limit is, but if he performs at double a, performs at triple a, they keep his innings down (only 3 last night) and he has some bullets ...  AND the American League sucks so much ass that the 75-78 Blue Jays, with 65 win true talent and the worst management in the game are somehow like 1 game back of the wild card...  and Varland is burnt out, Miles goes for some TJ, but 42,000 casuals are still showing up demanding some wins.  Yeah... we see him take the Spencer Miles spot maybe, or maybe Miles is fine and they need two of those.

Biggest reason it won't happen is the Jays are more likely to be 65-88 by then and 75-78 would be a miracle.

He won't do the Yesavage thing obviously, with a full workload in the playoffs... he could do a Spencer Miles thing for a couple of games in a desperation situation, where instead of Patrick Corbin, or Max Scherzer, they bring him to Oakland in September for 3 innings to try and catch the As and 7 other teams they are 1.5 games back of.   But like I said, more likely to be 10 games back of the multi-team AL cluster-f***.

Jo Jo Parker (.250 .390 .460 or so, a double and two walks last night) continues to do a good Cavan Biggio impression.   That is a good (2018/2019/2020) Cavan Biggio impression, not 2022 Cavan Biggio. 

Cavan Biggio skill set, but better exit velocity and athleticism. 

If his numbers end up at 2019/2020 Biggio level, but better defense, baserunning, and same rate stats in a tougher league that is a good player.

No mention of an injury anywhere, still active in the roster... my guess/hope would be just a skipped start for load management.

Only 45 IP in 2024 before beind shut down in August and then missing all of 2025 for TJ recovery. Hes at 54.2 already in 2026.

That's what I was thinking. He would pair nicely with Miles in a piggyback situation. He really seems like he's on the Yesavage trajectory.

Arjun Nimmala back strong from his injury. Back to back games with home runs in AA after the rehab stint. His first two home runs in AA as well. Very strong numbers overall between A+ and AA.

This is me from 10 years ago, a bit like Shrek and maybe even more so now...  There are no politics on the board so please do not comment on my politic leanings.  That is private or for different message boards.  

If he is healthy, and he pitches a couple of more good games in New Hampshire, and a couple of good games in Buffalo and the Blue Jays are 1.5 games back of the red hot Red Sox (basically tied with Twins, Mariners, As, Astros, Orioles chasing WC3) do you bring him up earlier than Yesavage so he can piggy back with Miles for the epic 8 way wild card race instead of Corbin? Or do you save him for last 2 weeks of season so he is a complete surprise the last week and the Wild Card Series if it happens?

I still think there is almost "no chance" is would happen

They did it with Trey in 2025 but he did not have the health concerns and he has the pedigree. But more importantly, the 2025 Jays needed another playoff caliber starter. 

The 2026 Jays do not in theory need another playoff caliber SP. Cease - Goose - Yes - Miles would be solid enough and Biebs can jump in there if he figures it out. 

The set of facts that has Nolan Perry starting in 2026 in MLB probably includes what you said about the standings along with Yesavage straining his shoulder and Miles getting shut down.

He could get called up earlier then Yesivage.  I would see him not as a full time starter like Yesivage, but as a 4 inning guy when needed, piggy back with Miles, deal with it when Yesivage walks 9 or Bieber giver up 5 homers but still tied 6-6. 

Main reason he won't get called up is they are just going to fall too far behind the Red Sox.   I said IF they could stay within 1.5 of the Sox they MAY call him up.  But could already be 2 behind today, and 8 or so behind by the time they even think about the call-up.
