Claiming he doesn't see the strike zone and citing 1 ABS challenge as "proof" that your observation is correct, 5 games into the season, is dumb. Sorry. Why be sorry for pointing out a stupid statement is stupid? Spanky__99, Brownie19 and BatFlip 3
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted April 2 Posted April 2 5 of 6 starts have been quality starts so far, and the only one that wasn't was because Ponce blew up his leg in the 3rd inning of what was shaping up to be yet another quality start. All that with Bieber, Yesavage and Berrios on the IL. BatFlip, Stangstag and Spanky__99 3

If anything, Atkins deserves major credit for bolstering the rotation the way he did just in case something exactly like this happened. The Ponce thing though... gut punch to the guy for sure. Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Not to get ahead a year, but next years rotation will probably look a lot like this years rotation, to be honest. I'm sure the Jays will go big game hunting for Skubal, but if that falls through most of the Jays upcoming FA SP's just love the Jays and probably won't be hard to re-sign. Gausman obviously, Bieber has raved about the Jays org, and Scherzer if he's still good and doesn't retire also loves the Jays. Lauer might be the only one who would run for the hills, due to his arb experience. Either way though, Cease, Yesavage, Ponce and Berrios isn't too bad of a starting point for building a rotation anyways. That's if there is any MLB next season. :( BatFlip, Spanky__99 and Stangstag 3

Zero barrels. Pulling nothing in the air. Hitting almost everything on the ground. Not even hitting enough hard ground balls. And this is against some real nincompoop pitchers. I don't understand what he found last post-season and now can't replicate.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted April 3 Posted April 3 If all goes well he should be able to return pretty soon, maybe three weeks? Could be less as sending him on a rehab assignment starts a 30-day clock so the Jays must think he's pretty close. Spanky__99 1

Now use that proactive attitude towards our offense. It should have been obvious as f*** that our offense + our closer was going to be our biggest weakness, and so far its been our offense + Little.
