Would you move Varsho for those two? Jays have outfield depth.

No, who plays CF in this scenario? If anything, he should be getting extended.

Vote of confidence from none other than Scott Boras. Glad the players are taking note too.

Apparently Ed built Rogers now and not his father and grandfather?

We have OF depth but no obvious starting CF candidate outside of Varsho.

I don't see him being moved, defense up the middle will always be a huge priority. We just need to keep his bat pushed further down the lineup

Straw is gold glove centerfielder, Joey L. Can play center. Moving Varsho lets us keep Bo and sign Tucker. Or a star closer

Varsho for Donovan and Liberator be good deal. Southpaw starter plus super utility guy. Rotation be set with Liberator, Lauer and Berrios fighting it out for 4-5th starters.

I can't see us or stl doing that.

I don't want to see Straw pencilled in as an everyday player. He proved he can have value as a bench guy but I think that's where he belongs, and ideally we could fill that role with someone far cheaper.

The padres have said they aren't interested in trading Tatis.  Not entertaining offers.  That killed one day of offseason at least.

Tatis doesn’t seem like the type of person Ross is targeting anyway

I wonder if Anthony Kay could be a low risk gamble. He seemed to do well in the NPB and is now a free agent.

Another starter available is Marcus Stroman. Tbh, I think extending him a 1-year deal could be interesting. He would love to make the Yankees eat it. Is he an actual clubhouse cancer? Maybe he'd be calmer now. I think a lot of you know would not be down with this.

Correct, no one wants Stroman back. Brutal idea

Someone will give Kay a shot, yeah.

The guy was great his first 2 and a half years here.  Never heard about any problems.  Maybe as time went on, the team got worse he didn't get along with his team-mates.

But does he have anything left?   Numbers look terrible last year, and he seem to get more and more problems getting along with people as the years went by.

Maybe a 1 year deal for Erin Sanchez?

He did good in dominican or something (per ang).  Get Stroman and him back together to make up.... lol... vaguely recall the first sign of trouble with Stroman was he apparently didn't get along anymore with Sanchez.

If we are going for the bottom of the rotation rather than the top, i'd prefer someone like Ponce who has high velo, and worst case could be a reliever.

I'm a believer in Jimenez. His steamer 600 projections are pretty good. He seems to be a good defender at multiple spots. He has decent bat speed. I feel like there is a lot there to work with. I'd want him to be utility.

Not too loud Ross might hear you and sign another IKF scrub for $15M

Someone needs to be able to jump on top of the phone like a grenade and stop him from signing 'good vets' at the trade deadline.

The world series was so close i still think that if schneider just gets every single ikf at bat, we might have won.

I think y'all should just know your role, sit back and let Boss Atkins cook.

Clearly he knows what he's doing.

So.... don't post on a team board. Just watch the games.

I’d maybe be tempted, but I fail to see how Varsho’s money keeps us from signing Bo.

Honestly one of my fears this off season is the Jays bringing IKF back to be a utility IF in 2026. I hope and pray that they love Leo Jimenez and they just plug him into that spot. Two months of IKF this past Sept/Oct felt like a lifetime. I can't do a full season.

Did you know his parents assembled and housed a team of 15 Dominicans for Addison to play with so he could get better.  I think his high school team wasn’t giving him playing time.

Barger was home schooled. He only started going to regular high school for Grade 11 and 12, after the Dominican team experiment.
