Every injured player is important.

Absolutely.

Gimenez coming back allows Clement to get some respite from RHP, where he is objectively not good. Varsho coming back allows Straw to be parked on the bench and deployed as a PH/PR/Defensive replacement as he should be. Santander coming back gives them additional power threat in the middle of the lineup and on days where he sits, a perfect pinch hitter late in games who can't be platoon disadvantaged and can then be lifted for a runner like Straw or Clement.

They're all important in their own way

It's objectively simple JH, I don't get the sh*t-talk. Every damn year man.

Like call out a bum... I get it, but finding reasons to bitch is silly. Your team is what it is at this point of the year. Guys stepped up, some have failed... yet, here we are. Look at the Standings folks and f***ing breathe.

It's about the time of year now where the goalposts start shifting.

At the beginning of the season, most of us would have been over the moon with a chance at the wildcard.

Now? If they don't win the division at minimum and maybe hold the best record in the AL and avoid the WC round and at least make the ALCS.... it'll be a letdown. Unexpected success does it every time.

Meh, any type of baseball of the PS proportion does me well. Honestly, I doubt the Birds give up the Division, but that's my homer take, just keep winning series and they'll be okay. The Bosox should slide eventually, hell of a heater though, Jays understudy in July. I feel this squad can make noise in the offseason, certainly with a healthy Bieber.

I  just don't get ******** claims with no statistical data to tell me different, pitching would lead me in a conversation, as that is/was are issue... Bieber, Varland and Dominguez help, bigly.

The boys are saying "I'm not ruining my stats, position player be dammed".

Pre-arb and arb guys absolutely should be trying to add to their stats even in this scenario.

Looks like you don't understand the point of a message board.

Many of us like to discuss strengths and weaknesses whether the team is horseshit in the standings or whether the team is first place. We can discuss how we got here, we can discuss where we go from here. And yes we're allowed to think this season has been a bit of a fluke. So what?

What you don't seem to understand, clearly, is that we can have these debates and also enjoy the season at the same time. Nobody here is under a dark cloud, everyone is thrilled, we're winning, we're happy to be winning. That doesn't mean there aren't concerns or criticisms or debates about who should play and who shouldn't play and discussions about strengths and weaknesses, organizational discussions.

Not everybody has to do it your way. Not everybody has to agree with you. But everyone can still enjoy the winning.

I think you're the one that needs to relax. You keep accusing others of not enjoying it meanwhile you seem to be more miserable than everybody else.

I'm in a good place, I got a few games I'm going to in the next couple of weeks, going to be a great crowd and a fun atmosphere.

Worm killer has been hitting the ball pretty well in the second half. Better later than never.

Hopefully it's not just a hot couple of weeks. We need him.

Bo has been outstanding also.

I don't really get this. If he started hot and then had some slower. 790 OPS months would that have been better?

I think it's just something that would have mentally made people feel better but in reality it's irrelevant.

Also his statcast page is unimpeachable. It is as good as it gets and I don't know how "a couple of hot weeks" comes into that. He's hit the ball very well all year long, and he has also done great in terms of contact, getting on base and not chasing bad pitches regularly, also all year long. If anything it's that the results are now matching the process and contact quality. Hot streak is what Heineman and Loperfido are doing.

He's up to 3.5 fWAR. Probably 4 BWAR. I think he ends with a 5 WAR season which is nothing to complain about.

Lmao you've been doom posting all year and even yesterday you were calling us Atkins "nut huggers" (all of you Debbie Downers are obsessed with Atkins' genitals and post about it constantly btw 🤢).

Now that the team is undoubtedly good (best record in the AL and about to be 4 games up in the division) and playing lights out (45-6 beatdown in Colorado) you have no choice but to jump on the bandwagon, which, by the way, is a tacit admission that all of your predictions up to this point have been flat out wrong!

So by all means, enjoy one of the best seasons in franchise history! But if you had any integrity at all you would admit you were wrong and would be apologizing to Spanky, me and the rest of Team Positive (in the form of Swiss Chalet gift cards)!

If im a playoff team watching the Jays, I just load up on lefty pitching and hope Varsho/Barger get benched in the playoffs lol.

Our best hitters are right handed and we have multiple platoon bats galore to cover our lefties. We have almost no discernible splits as a team fyi.

Cant we all just get along... Red Sox lost and we're now 4 games up.  Times like this dont come around often :)

Team Blue Jays get it, team tard don't. You Birds crack me up to be frank. There's holes in every org, Jays have progressed to their plan, is it a bad thing 24?

Also times come around like every year since '20? Are you dense?

Could really use those Sox to lose 3 or 4 of their next 5 just to be safe though. Theyre on a real heater

What are you going on about, im here celebrating the fact we're killing it this season.  I just happen to agree its fine to still talk about areas that we can get better and go for the World Series.  We're all on the same sides here so no reason to get worked up during joyous occasions like this.

We get better when guys come off the IL, I'm a Jays Booster pal, don't tell me when to celebrate, I can also opine to the dingleberries that talk s*** for years on end, that includes you, sorry, not sorry. The comments and s*** talk from day to day is a f***ing joke, and if you don't like it... learn to live with it.

Don't worry, they'll fade

Their big deadline acquisition was a Carrot Top lookalike who couldn't get through 4 innings today before getting yanked

I see them like the 2022 Orioles. Bunch of young guys promoted mid-season that are hungry. Have a great 2nd half. Next year they probably win the division. Solid young core like the Os, except willing to spend.

They are definitely a team to monitor. I'm not sure they have "waves of talent" coming up or if this current crop of young guys is it. Chaim Bloom drafted and developed them all and I can't say that I've been too impressed with Breslow. He and ownership seem dysfunctional and they also act like a mid market team.

I could see them winning the division next year or I could see them flaming out and getting last and neither would surprise me.

Kershaw, Snell and Yamamoto next series. It won't be as easy but they have beat some good pitchers. Going to be battle.

I think we light up both Snell and Kershaw ...

The compatability and flexibility of this team is quite a beauty

Really does seem that, no matter when or where, we always have an answer by having a platoon line up and pinch hit options. The defensive flexibility of our roster could very well be one of the best of all time.

We have 10 guys that are CONTRIBUTING that can play at least 3 positions competently. That's nuts
