I'd target our old friend Steven Matz. We do need depth, but shouldn't overreact to this recent series and pay a lot for a depth starter.

I didn't realize that checking in on Kwan's availability made it so we couldn't also look into relievers

Well I guess the implication is that there is only so much prospect/player capital so using it to get the most impactful return is paramount.  Right now that means bullpen arms or a tor starter. That said, when it comes to Cleveland, Atkins seems to have special lines of communication to get a deal done.

I haven't seen this posted yet, so I'll say it.  I don't think Chad Green should be on this roster anymore.  We should target an upgrade.

They should be looking at what the rotation would be in a playoff series.  Matz would be of no benefit to us, so not a good strategy.

What is needed for the playoffs is better relief pitching and perhaps a bat. Everyone reasonable fan and analyst agrees on that, including myself.

I mention Matz as a cheap depth piece that can help us in case of injuries and days like today, not as a playoff starter.
