I don't think Lukes handles the bat well enough for a suicide squeeze here, but it would be fun.

I thought bunt from Clement might have been possible…Sheets wasn’t playing in

Would have sucked to lose that game, glad they were able to finish the sweep.

Finally over .500 again.

Man oh man - so many people are just full of negativity and hate.  Like someone has to be to blame for everything bad that happens.  Sad.

This is one of those games the Jays team the last couple of years would of lost. Great battling back in both the 10th and 11th to pull out the win. Huge victory to get us over the .500 mark. Let's keep it rolling on this road trip and end the month of May on a high!

Lauer is on the hill tomorrow and there won't be any pitch limit on him.

He's looks good in a SSS. Claims he's healthy after having nerve issues which lead to his struggles in 2023.

He only had 4 years service time entering the year so I believe he's under team control next year?

His projections look decent moving forward.

I'm not saying we should bank on him being a mid rotation guy but he might okay as a 5 and dive this year and next.

And before you tar and feather me please note that I am the guy that correctly identified Nathan Lukes as the guy we should be playing in LF everyday.

So glad I'm wrong.  Brooms baby!

They hadn't been winning those kinds of games. It's still just a few games going their way, but it's a better trend than the first weeks/month. Hopefully they can build some confidence and get on a roll.

You correctly identified s***. Buck Martinez was singing Lukes' praises last year so go pray to Buck's altar.

As for Lauer, he has shown the ability to be a reasonably steady major league starting pitcher in the past and so yeah if your great prediction is that he can be a reasonably steady number five pitcher, congratulations.

I've been singing Lukes praises for the last three years every time he has a great spring training camp,  but Lauer?

Best get ready Term.

Today in Georgia history - Hopkins tarred and feathered

Over .500 Feels Good Man.

Hoffman has been disappointing after an incredible April.

He'll bounce back.  The only mistake he made today was the leadoff walk.  The homer to Sheets was a decent pitch and a good job of hitting.  You just can't walk the 1st batter there.

Nah it's strictly on Hoffman blowing chunks.  Walking the leadoff guy with a 2 run lead is a recipe for what happened...

When he was going good back in April, seemed like he never walked anyone. Attacked the zone constantly. Not sure what changed in May.

Overall his splitter usage has more than doubled vs last season. And its not a very good pitch.

I think Walker is a bit too in love with the splitter for Hoffman and needs to dial it back
