  1. To be fair I bet most of the people watching don’t want to hear some stat nerd come on and talk about xwOBA when the Jays have looked downright awful the last week.
  2. Not too mention Valenzuela looks completely overmatched at the plate. Although not really his fault as he’s expected to be crap offensively as a 3rd string catcher. Without Kirk and Barger the bottom of the lineup really falls off and that’s with a lot of guys not hitting already.
  3. Kirk injury just killing the Jays. Catchers have been a mess so far with tons of mistakes in big moments.
  4. And that’s why the Kirk loss is so bad because he was a 115wRC+ kind of bat. Now you have a dead spot at the bottom of the order with a team that already isn’t hitting well.
  5. I think people are vastly overrating him based on a good ST. It’s tough to come up and contribute as a rookie catcher. The demands of the pitching staff alone is a ton of work then you add in trying to hit MLB pitching. Even a best case scenario from him is a huge downgrade on Kirk.
  6. Worst part is Kirk could be gone for a month to 6 weeks. He’s probably more valuable than Vladdy given the replacements at C. That’s a massive loss for a team scuffling already.
  7. Yeah there’s a bigger chance the jays don’t get back to the World Series for 5 years than they do of getting back once. But that’s just baseball.
  8. He pitched fine. Even got the K with 1 out guy at 3rd. Not his fault Heinaman sucks ass
  9. As soon as Heineman comes in he loses them the game. That kirk injury couldn’t be worse.
  10. Okamoto can’t make any contact the last few games.
  11. Have to think those guys were getting extorted by the Mafia and they feared for their own or a family members life. They wouldn’t be throwing away millions to make a few extra thousand dollars makes no sense. I think that’s what happened with the Raptors player Porter he had a bunch of gambling bets he couldn’t pay and the mafia told him well you’re gonna throw some points to “even it up”
  12. Yeah that was the most annoying part of that. This is the manager that brought in his best relievers all postseason long in blowouts plus low leverage literally giving the other teams "free looks". Maybe don't bring in your best relievers up 6 f***ing runs last night if you had that same logic. Schneider has made some great moves this postseason I'll the first to tip my cap but he's truly has some puzzling and moronic bullpen decisions and it clearly cost them tonight. You just hope the Jays can bounce back as it would be a huge shame for the season to end like this.
  13. Schneider mismanagement is going to cost them later in this series. You don’t let them have a free look at your best bullpen guys when you have to win 2 more games.
  14. Lmao he has Little warming.. just terrible managing.
  15. They should because stats prove guys are better against the same relievers the more they see them lol
  16. Also you run the risk of Fluharty using like 20 pitches and being less effective or not available tomorrow.. At least you put Rodriguez out there to start the 9th
  17. JS is a f***ing moron. Just so unnecessary to use Fluharty here.
  18. Exactly. It’s why JS pitching Hoffman in game 1 was really stupid. You never want to let their hitters see the good relievers in blow out games.
  19. They are up 8 runs. Any bum will go out there and win the game with that lead. Key is to win the series and you need to preserve all the other arms in the pen for the next 2 days.
  20. You don’t want to give the Ms free looks at any other relievers. Have Rodriguez go back out in the 9th. He’s proven he can’t be relied on anything other than mop up duty anywyas.
  21. Biebers stuff just looks terrible. Breaking ball just has zero bite. Add in poor command and it’s going to be a struggle for him to get outs.
  22. All season long when you wrote off the team they would turn it around so hopefully they can continue the trend. If you lose tonight the season is over. Bieber has something to prove tonight. He's looked pretty mediocre over the last month so if he wants to get a big contract he's got to have a good game.
  23. That's why Home run are so important in the postseason. Seattle had two 3 run homers yesterday despite at the time not looking much different than the Jays. You remove randomness if you put the ball over the fence.
  24. Yeah but look at how few Yankees fans there were In Toronto last weekend. Perfect weather, a cheap dollar and Western NY is 1.5-2 hour drive away yet there was maybe less than 2K NY fans in the building. And regular season you'd have 5-8K fans at minimum. There's always tickets available with the secondary market in this day and age so that's never really a deterrent for anyone who wants to go to the game. I think you guys will be quite disappointed if you are expecting 20% of the fans to be Jays fans.
