G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 https://www.si.com/mlb/guardians/news/cleveland-guardians-being-cautious-with-jose-ramirez-injury On Friday night, Ramirez fell awkwardly after planting his foot on first base. He immediately dropped to the ground in pain and eventually subbed out of the game. The team announced later in the night that Ramirez suffered a "mild right ankle sprain," and Stephen Vogt also provided a little more context on his status. "Good. The reports are good; just being cautious. Long season. He said he could've kept going, but we can't take that chance. [We wanted to] get him checked out. Good reports so far. [He's] really sore, so we'll have to see how he feels in the morning," said Cleveland's skipper. Jays24 1

Laika Community Moderator Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Cleveland's lineup blows without Ramirez. Kwan is a huge pest and there is pop to be worried about with Santana and Manzardo but that's about it Terminator and Carlos Danger 2

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Barger had some tough ab's yesterday. Hope he does better today.

glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 I'm glad they seem to have finally come to their senses and put Gimenez at 9. If he's hitting below Heineman then that means they no longer have delusions about how good of an offensive player he is. If you're lucky then he's around a 90-100 wRC+ player, and you accept that at the bottom of the lineup (have no choice due to the contract).

HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 OMG BO hits a homerun! Was beginning to think he'd never hit one again.

saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 We need to play guys at the bottom of the order until they prove they should be moved up. Barger 6th is stupid. No need to put added pressure on him either.

We’re just looking for some sort of contribution from Lukes but to see he’s batting 7th just shows the lack of offense depth we have.
Jaysman Verified Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Keep me right here but did anyone actually see a proper tag on Lukes?

Jaysman Verified Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Like it or not, good teams grind out at bats with slap hitters like Kwan. How annoying is he to face as the opposing team?
Jaysman Verified Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Williams has been hit around a bit this season but we’ve already seen him painting 100 at the knees. Please can he just hang a curve?
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Need to cash in a couple runs here.
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Williams seems much better against left handed batters.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 No big hit... Williams found his command against Heiny and Gimenez

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Just now, Omar said: We keep letting Williams off the hook. His stuff is straight filth. Command comes and goes clearly but when it comes... it's nasty.
