Yeah there's always people around to defend him when he stinks in a big game. That game against Seattle, I think they needed him to pitch into the 7th inning, he wasn't bad but they needed more and he wasn't great in San Francisco either. Say what you want about the Boston and Tampa games, I'm not quite buying it though. 

But he'll get his chance tomorrow. Game 1 at home, a full five days of rest. There will be no excuses. Put up or shut up.

Would rather watch the game at home or at a good sports bar than pay the expensive resale prices. It's only a Game 1 and 2 anyways.

Tomorrow's game will be expensive. If the Jays lose Game #1, Sunday's tickets should drop a bit in price before game time. Given its a Sunday at 4PM, shouldn't be as expensive.

I remember the reasoning being very stupid and a lot of people arguing about it. It’s no secret the vast majority of fans want it done to be open, Apparently it only needs to be 15C to have the roof open where they would feel comfortable without any issues.

If the roof is closed tomorrow and Sunday, they can shove those prices of $300 per tickets up there you know what haha.

I'll watch the game at home instead. When the roof is closed, dome is stuffy and no air circulation. It's awful.

AMAZING atmosphere and great area.  I can't even imagine how epic that ballpark would be for a Seattle - Jays playoff game.

 

I think Mariners games in Seattle if against the Jays would be during the week for Games #3 and #4 ugh. If they were on the weekend, would get tickets.

You're better off purchasing Game 5 tickets for next Friday at 8PM in case there is a Game 5. Would be more epic and worth paying the expensive prices for.

There will be tons of Yankees fans looking to grab tickets imo.  They have a massive traveling fanbase.

Anyone know who the closer is going to be for postseason?  Or will they just go with whoever matches up best?  Assuming Hoffman won't be closing at this point.

Also this talkin yanks series preview episode 1293 is pretty brutal.  They go on about how bad jays fans are online.  They say the season series doesn't matter because they aren't using the same defence and pitchers we beat.  Some valid points, but still.  Jake has a tiny head for a fairly well built body.

They did say some nice things about the team though.

Actually thinking about this more. If you really wanted to kind of play the numbers and also just get some of the better yankees hitters out of games. 
 

game 1 - gausman 

game 2 varland, then 3 leftie relievers to get the first 15 outs. Then yesavage until the end of the game. The goal is to get them to pinch hit by the time you get to yesavage. If they don't put in lauer instead and make it a full bullpen game. 
 

game 3 bieber 

game 4 lauer or yesavage starts, relieved by bassit

game 5 gausman

I think if you were to go a bullpen game where you lean on lefties, you do it at Yankee Stadium.

Varland has one game as a opener and many folks want to use that option in Game 2.  This society's recency bias is bordering on an illness lol.

Exactly what i did. I missed the last game 5 (after going to games 1-2) and I won’t miss this one if it happens.

Yes the fact that its the Yankees has me feeling prices wont come down. Just based off what i was able to observe during the regular season. Yankees games were consistently harder to get/more expensive

I think Bassitt might get a potential game 4. Or some kinda piggyback. Or he gets game 3 and they go to Yesavage/piggyback for game 4.

Bassitt has been quite solid for last couple months, I feel like people are underating him. He's basically done exactly what Yesavage has done in his starts

What difference does it make what inning he pitches in. Its not recency bias, its just who cares what inning he gets his outs in.
