Cubs won 18-3 last night. Tonight its 6-4 Cubs already in the 5th. Rooker and Shea crushed home runs for the A's, while Suzuki and Tucker crushed HR's for the Cubs so far.

That's going to be an incredible deal for the Padres. Blue Jays are now looking at over paying massively their 2 soon to be FAs hahah.

Its always nice when young players are willing to listen and negotiate on pre-FA extensions.

It seems like Bo definitely wasn't, but who knows. Vladdy got offered 160M after 2021 which wasn't a very strong offer when you then see what Tatis, Julio and Witt got. The key with a lot of these deals is its a lot better to overpay by 10-20% on comparables for these young players.

Jays don't really have any young players at the moment you'd want to sign long term given a lot of these guys will be controlled to their early 30s and aren't really stars.

It's too bad Vlad hasn't been extended on a team-friendly deal.

Imagine having him, Gimenez and Kirk all locked up. The playoffs would be easy to make every year.

Vlad wasn't offered the same type of contract extension as a star SS, star CF, and star SS? All with above-average to elite speed.

Padres and Dodgers this year, holy smokes.  Gonna be dogfight in the NL West.  Padres host the Dodgers in the last week of May.  Gonna be great viewing.

Always had a soft spot for the Padres since they were the first MLB game I ever went to. Big fan of Tatis and Merrill so hope they do well even though Dodgers are going to run away with that division.

Yeah it really is fun looking through the box scores each night. Wheeler and Cease had 2 great starts as well.
