My guess is it got removed because people were abusing it and just constant thumbs-down on any posts from certain people

Yeah. People were going back and downvoting like hundreds of posts from members they didn't like. Well, at least one person was.

The Yankees kind of suck. Running a rotation of Fried, Rodon, Stroman, Warren, and.... Carrasco? Bullpen is super thin after Williams and Weaver. No 3B. 40-year old Paul Goldscmidt at 1B. Paper thin bench. Not clear that Dominguez is any good and there's no depth after him in the OF.

I still have the Yankees ahead of the Jays this season. It's still a decent rotation and if the bullpen is "super thin" after Williams and Weaver, I wonder what you think of the Blue Jays bullpen after Hoffman and Garcia haha. I wouldn't write off the Yankees just yet. They're more vulnerable now, but still are a contender.

Sure the Yankees aren't going to be a powerhouse like the Dodgers, but I'm sure they get lucky with a dead-cat bounce from either Goldy or DJ LeMahieu and one of their young players has a breakout lol.

Yankees always seem to produce all these relievers with nasty stuff out of no where. All of a sudden you’ll be watching a game and a guy comes out of the pen throwing 98 with a wicked changeup.

Jays pitching is certainly going to get tested out of the gates with Scherzer, Burr and Swanson all hurt.

Also, imagine the equivalent if the Jays lost Gausman all year and if Bowden Francis was shut down for 6 weeks. Jays would be in way worse shape.

Schmidt is pretty decent. Stroman was nice depth to have haha. Yankees have some decent young arms like Warren, and Beeter as well waiting in the wings.

Bullpen wise, Devin Williams is probably the top closer in all of baseball when healthy. Weaver looked really good out of the pen last season and was elite. Cousins is really good. Leiter struck out 86 guys in 50 something innings last season. He's no pushover. Ian Hamilton when healthy can be sneaky good as well.

I wouldn't write off the Yankees that easily as BTS is. They're definitely more vulnerable now, but still a contender in the AL East. Makes for the division being more open now which is nice.

Dude its 2025 and their opening day starter is Carlos Rodon, Marcus Stroman is their 3rd starter, and there's a real chance they actually use Carlos Carrasco as their 5th starter. It's OK to just enjoy the upcoming 82-win season .

Anytime you trash an AL East rival you get a "what about the Jays?" reply.

But it's not a zero-sum game to me. I can enjoy Gerrit Cole blowing out his elbow irrespective of the Jays having a mediocre team on a bloated budget.

Whether it's reading reports that Stanton can't even wipe his own ass anymore because his arms are so shot, to the Jays winning the Grapefruit league, to the Yanks trying to downplay Luis Gil blowing out his arm, etc....as a certified Yankee-hater and Jays fan it warms my heart all the same.

Yeah. Like, it’s objectively funny that the Yankees will be relying on Stroman and Carrasco from day 1, have Paul Goldschmidt pencilled in for 600 PA, and literally didn’t bother acquiring a 3B. And it’s funny regardless of how many games the jays win.

The Orioles are doing it again. They've optioned Coby Mayo to AAA to begin the season. Instead of trading literally anyone away for upgrades, they just let their blocked guys rot in the minors and lose value.

Quote

“It definitely is difficult,” Mayo said. “It obviously sucks, because you feel like you’ve proven everything you’ve needed to. Sometimes it doesn’t feel like it’s quite enough. Obviously, you go back there and if you have success, it’s, ‘Oh, well he’s supposed to have success because he’s already proven it,’ and if he doesn’t have success, it’s, ‘Oh, well, obviously he’s fallen off.’ It’s kind of a lose-lose going to Norfolk.”

God forbid you sell high on Ryan O'Hearn, move Ryan Mountcastle for SP depth, or move Mayo for a top end SP.

Jesus. Minor league deal for Kimbrel.

Was just going to post this, we need to sign Robertson.

2M for Kimbrel when he's ready to come up to the bigs.

That's wild to me.

I think he's known as a giant *******. I guess as soon as his performance dipped, teams figured it wasn't worth it.

It seems bizarre the Jays didn't try to add him or Robertson already.  Please bring us David Robertson, we're going to need him.

$20 USD to be eligible for Athletics season tickets when they move to Vegas in 2028 haha.

Ballpark supposed to hold 33K fans. Think it's a good opportunity.

I think it's going to be wildly successful - much like the Golden Knights.
