The_DH Verified Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 I love how Vogelbach's butt is firmly planted on the bench as our 26th man. But when he does actually find his way into the lineup he's all of the sudden good enough to hit cleanup lol. It's got to be some sort of respect/deference thing to Vogelbach because it makes no sense otherwise. If he actually was good enough to bat cleanup he'd play more in a platoon and he'd be pinch hitting nearly every game but he doesn't. I suppose there could be something about Lugo's pitch mix that makes Vogelbach's bat play up? The only reason I think we're keeping him is to get Kooch signed. Otherwise a guy who hits .100 and can't play a position. I'd do it for half the price.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 leadoff double for KC = game over it's actually over the Jays cannot come back from this even though it is 0-0 Came on here to put a over the top negative end of times comment after that lead off double, but already done. Thankfully Royals look like they will put of a few this inning so will be a 5-0 loss not a 1-0. Congratulations to the Kansas City Royals and Bobby Witt Jr. for creating a great franchie. Generational playoff wins Bo/Vlad Jays - 0 Bobby Witt Royals - 10 (he'll be there for 20 years remember) Gunnar Henderson Orioles - 20 Vlad Guerrero Jr Red Sox - 8 Juan Soto Yankees - 21 Spencer Horwitz Jays - 0
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 wdym I really can’t be much more clear than that
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 The RC is so quiet you can hear Shapiro taking a dump and his assistant flushing the toilet up in his executive office. I refuse to attend a Jays game until their offense becomes watchable. I've turned down free tickets so hard to blame anyone for falling asleep watching this team play
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 I really can’t be much more clear than that having trouble understanding
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Looks like a put the game on just in time to watch the hit parade
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 the rc is so quiet you can hear shapiro taking a dump and his assistant flushing the toilet up in his executive office. lmao
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 We need to learn to aim our ground balls better like the Royals do.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Isbel hit was a bloop Witt and Perez hits were probably outs if the infield wasn't playing in (i.e. if they had any confidence in the offense whatsoever)
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 This keeps up the dome will be pretty empty this summer
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Author Posted May 1, 2024 Fricking Sal Perez, gets a ground ball through the infield being in and talking s*** the hole time lol
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 now, some good teams would RESPOND to a half inning like this and go up there and battle I wonder if the Jays will even see 10 pitches next inning? I am expecting a 3 pitch K, one pitch groundout, and then maybe a nice competitive five pitch flyout.
Ray Verified Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Bassitt had a visceral reaction to that 2nd run coming in. Dude knows this offense has no shot of scoring with 3 innings left.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 having trouble understanding Term refers to anyone with a negative view of the team as losers, haters and Debbie Downers. Welcome to the club, stay a while this time
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Poor bassitt thinking he only allowed 3 runs in but seems like 10 for a normal team. Our starting pitching doesn't deserve to be under this stress for every pitch they throw man.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Don't worry guys, we got the top of the order coming up....
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Kikuchi and Turner will be nice chips at the deadline
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 I hate this team right now Like there are probably 7-8 other teams I like more
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Top of the order all set to make 3 quick outs
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Scoring 5 runs is nearly impossible for this team but can we score 4 runs?

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Scoring 5 runs is nearly impossible for this team but can we score 4 runs? Not unless they start using the wonder bat lol
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Springer right on cue with the weak ground out
Masterbather Verified Member Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 I hate this team right now Like there are probably 7-8 other teams I like more I don't like any other team, I don't root for any other team, so all I have is this depressing mess.
