Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Jared Jones establishing himself nicely Damn his stuff is filthy He’s been straight nasty, 11.41 K/9 now with a 2.63 ERA. Hasn’t really had a single bad start, and he’s faced a few good teams like Baltimore, Phils, Brewers.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Tim Anderson is horrible. Another example of a good player to horrible in 0-60.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Hader blows another save today. Dude’s been an absolute dumpster fire.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 5, 2024 Posted May 5, 2024 Hader blows another save today. Dude’s been an absolute dumpster fire. He has like a 2.00 xFIP 3.00 FIP and 15k/9 but almost anything hit in air has gone out - hence 6 ERA. His BB rate is normal for his career. It should normalize over more innings. After a 7 year run everything has gone pear shaped for the Astros in '24 so far.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 Evan Phillips just went down for Dodgers with a pulled hami.........Blake Treinen just off the IL steps right in and takes over as closer.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 Jackson Holliday is 4 for 30 since going back to the minors. Woof. Could be Kelenic all over again

John Balkabella Verified Member Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 Let's offer them generational player Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for that slug. They’d have to throw in Henderson and Mountcastle. Mountcastle just to not face him anymore.

That’s interesting, didn’t check the stats. Just know he’s blown a lot of games. He must be extremely hated in Houston right now haha

bluejaysinternNo5 Verified Member Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 Maybe there’s something to the theory of rich nepo babies never struggling or working hard in their lives until they hit MLB. Holliday will probably be fine though.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted May 6, 2024 Posted May 6, 2024 In his first start this season the Rays chase Mike Clevinger after 2 1/3 - he does not look like the younger version with that funky but athletic delivery; age, injuries....

He’s looked cooked before and proved to be a decent backend SP. I think if he had ST, he would’ve been a passable 4/5 on teams. He may not get much rope though

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Woods Richardson doesn't suck? If SWR turns into a stud pitcher this will be the cherry on top of Atkins' s*** sundae

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 21 IP of 1.85 FIP SSS but the last of the Stro DNA in TOR (we think) is off to a good start. FB avg 93. Up 2 MPH. Which likely means TJS is in his future...
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Walker Buehler in his first start in 2 years, got off to a bit of ruff start. 2 - 0 Marlins after 1 (3rd out on batters inference so he escaped a jam)
Ray Verified Member Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Ohtani’s hit 4 home runs in his last 9 ABs. Absolute monster And then Freddie Freeman goes back to back.
Laika Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 He's a 7 win DH. Probably a 9 win RF. What's the point of putting him on the mound ever again?
